Season Ticket Holder question

I have season seats and sell a few games to a friend. Since there are no paper tickets this year I had to choose the option to print his tickets.

Ok here is the weird part. He bought 4 games from me.

Colorado printed with a retail price of $133
Dallas printed with a retail price of $152
Los Angeles in Feb with a retail price of $184
Anaheim with a retail price of $133

Now these are the prices that printed on the official ticket. Of course I sell them to my friend for season seat holder prices but from what i gather from this is it allows scalpers to get a better price for the more popular games.

Anyone else have any idea why this happened?

Single game tickets are priced according to the popularity of the game.

wow so what you are saying is that the oilers (who sell individual tickets) will charge you $184 to go to LA but only $133 to go to COL.

Its an interesting question posed.

Its of the course the game day ticket price on the ticket.

When I was a mod here I wasn't happy that seasons ticket holders could profit so much without being officially considered scalping because the asking price didn't exceed per game pricing. Fact of the matter is people make really healthy margins on those sales.

A lot of people I know have subsidized their seasons tickets purchase by simply selling some of the games. If people are getting any kind of markup you could sell gamess and still go to 20 or so games for free.

The margin between seasons seats pricing and game day pricing is wider in amount, and proportion, than its ever been.

Kind of a weird move by the org. I expect they don't want to be rubbing any seasons ticket holders the wrong way but this is creating gouging per game prices and ample scalping in which money is lost that the org would otherwise have.

Yeah quite a lot of margin between premium pricing and regular games (whatever that is) also weird that some of the games considered premium I wouldn't consider premium.

Out of curiosity, if you don't generally have paper tickets for each game, how do you get in?

Bang on. A number of sporting teams do this, it's not an uncommon practice.

Does it have anything to do with the night of the games? or are each team always the same price regardless of the night/time?

Ya it does, weekend games will usually be a premium one despite the team playing.
