He should have a little chip on his shoulder after being cut from training camp. Carlyle will get the best out of him.

This is good. Keep Connoly away!

It's called a balanced attack, rolling three good lines.

thats what carlyle does not do. you are going back to the wilson days.
calyle matches lines, 1st line needs a power forward, to mathch up with kessel

And you would put who on the first line? JVR? Doesn't make sense, let him roll with Kuli and Grabo. If Mac doesn't mess well, then perhaps roll with Frattin on the top line

Would like to see Fratt with Kessel actually. We need someone to kind of work the boards, and create some some space for Kessel on that line. Plus, Fratt would get a chance to play with the best playmaker on the team.

He obviously didn't have an impressive enough camp compared to the other guys who made the roster so I hope getting sent back down lights a fire under his ass so that he can kick into beast gear.

Glad that it was him that got the call up and not Connolly. He's a tough kid, once he finds his stride, he should be the kind of player Carlyle loves.

What the hell does having a power forward with Kessel have to do with matching lines?

This is the right decision. I'm really impressed with the Carlyle/Nonis decision making process overall.

you need someone that goes to the net , playes in the corners, big winger on his line.
carlyle does not just roll his lines , he matches with other lines. 1st and 2nd line play more than the other lines

This doesn't even make sense. It's ONLY been three games, why break a line that is rolling to get Kessel going? Kessel is getting his chances, his timing is clearly off, you know he will start rolling soon.

Its Matt Fratt time!

IIRC he meshed well with Kadri in the AHL, did he not? Wouldn't mind trying him there to start.

Poor Lupul though. Hope he gets back soon.

grabos line has had 1 good game, maybe it was jvr that helped, so put him on the first line, komorov with grabo as a checking/ scoring line

It's about the system not player types. Yes we may not win the battles along the boards, BUT we have a better chance of winning with speed on our first line. Stop trollin bro

I guess when our fourth line struggles we can put JVR on there too.

Taking bad angle shots at the net?

Man, I really hope his game turned 180 degrees from last season, or he'll be a black hole on Kadri's line.

It almost feels as if they read HF Boards prior to making any decisions!

If Burke was here I highly doubt We'd have Conolly in the AHL, Lombardi traded, and most importantly Kadri up
