i stopped pretending after last years boston game.
can we stop pretending we dont need a legit goalie? or are we gonna live in a fantasy world of puppy dogs, marshmellows and grandmothers for the rest of the season?
I don't understand how we expect either of these goalies to succeed in the NHL without a glove hand. Teams already know where to shoot on these guys and it's a glaring weakness. It won't work in the NHL when there are snipes who can put a nail into a tree with their shots. We're not going to be able to win games with goalies who have this bad of a glaring weakness.
Scrivens is a joke of an NHL goalie. Looked bad in the W against Montreal, looked shaky against Buffalo, and looked downright disgusting tonight. Worst part is he was smiling on the bench after being pulled. GTFO here!

I personally think Reimers athletic ability is quite a bit higher than Scrivens and I have faith that he's going to right the ship but if he doesn't I wonder if Bishop can be had for a second rouder. If I remember right that's what Ottawa gave up to get him
If the performances are extremes highs and lows, its going to catch up and destroy the teams confidence over the season. Ive seen enough of Scrivens for a while now. Tonight he was horrible. One good game and one bad one isnt good enough. Both goalies are un-proven. I have more hope for Reimer than Scrivens. Scrivens loves to handle the puck and he makes mistakes with it. His glove position is horrible. Letting in weak goals deflates teams.
The guy is a 27 year old minor league goalie with 15 games to his name. The guy's been spoon fed ice time and he coughed it all up.
This has been his first very bad performance in the NHL. His age has nothing to do with it, because you full well know goalies take a very long time to come into their own. Scrivens may very well not be the answer, but to claim after one game his career is over is not only dramatic, but not realistic. You're smarter than that Stephen' if youve watched hockey for as long as you claim to have.

Actually, he's been blown out 3 times in 15 games and won 5 of his 15 appearances.
He was lucky to have been given the ball to run with with 3 starts out of the first four games, but he's lost 3 of them and completely wet the bed. And he's turning 27.
I don't think his future looks particularly bright.
