I'd like to go to one of the weekend games against the Sox, probably Saturday or Sunday. Hopefully there will still be tickets available.

Honestly I would be shocked by numbers that low... Considering the Jays averaged 26 k last season over 81 games I think there would be a good turn out for the 2nd game of the season after the buzz in the city now - now factor in the tens of thousands of people missing out on home opener tickets and it should be a decent turn out.

how do you view this I looked on their site and could't see.

Most people don't even know that tickets are available yet. I had no idea, I only knew because someone posted it on this site. There will be thousands of fans going to get opening tickets before the game and they're all going to be disappointed. A lot of them will go to a game the first week.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I think the Boston game will have a huge attendance, I just was responding to your statement that it would sell out some time today.

I'm really hoping that the attendance is huge that second game vs cleveland but I rembered last season the drop off being so dramatic the players all commented on it. Looking at Morrow and gibbons' comments they both mentioned the second game as well. My fingers are crossed.

I don't know...you might be right because they're weekday games, but there's so much hype around the Jays right now* that I think they'll sell at least 40k for the first 6 games

*yesterday a barista (are dudes called baristas?) at Starbucks saw my Jays hat and he was like "Hey Jays! I'm a huge fan, getting a Jays tattoo soon!" - I'm all for loving your team, and there's nothing wrong with tattoos, but I'd never put a logo on my body lol

Ugh, why can't the season start already!? It's great that there's finally something with ST, but it's always the same crap "best shape of my life", "winning attitude", "nobody wins on paper"...just fast forward the next 6 weeks and get this show on the road!

Nvm, I understand your question now. To view how many have been sold just click to buy tickets and there's a map. Zoom in to see what's available.

Lawrie has more energy in his pinky than any 3B has in his body so it's not really a discussion.

He's an uncontainable freak of nature.

Are these the hats they will be wearing all season? I'm really not a fan of them.

New batting practice caps. Every team has a new one now.

They're for spring training and batting practice only. The game uni hasn't changed from last season. No reason to change anything about the unis yet considering this set is only a year old and is absolutely gorgeous.

I'm sure virtually no one will agree with me on this, but I'd like to see the away jerseys (grey) replaced with Navy Blue jerseys (or even black ). It's an alternate colour on the logo anyways.

Navy blue would suck and is too close to the blue that's already part of the unis. And we just had years of boring black jerseys. I'm not interested in going back there.

I'd like to see a proper update to the powder blues, but that's not likely to happen given that the Royals and Rays already prominently use a poweder blue uni.

EDIT: but then again, I'd also like to see an alternate blue that has red trim on it like the uni they wore in the Green/Delgado days, and I know that not a lot of people loved those jerseys.

apologies for using Mondesi, it's just the best pic I could find.

^ I actually like that uniform, but then again maybe I don't have that much credibility since I liked the black uniforms

Navy Blue w/ Toronto text looks pretty decent to me in the quick mockup I made

It's just too similar to the current (and far superior) blue.

ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod! There was just a Jays baseball commercial on Sportsnet. Like advertising for a game broadcast!

I liked the black unis too, to be honest.

I believe that the road jerseys must be grey. They are grey for every team. MLB rules. At least that's as far as I know.

I don't know if I posted this, but on TSN.ca's video of Lawrie's interview, and his interview with Martine Gaillard on Sportsnet a few months ago, Lawrie was so pumped ... you'd need a tranquilizer.

most guys drink gatorade. Lawrie drinks coffee mixed with red bull mixed with 10 tablespoons of sugar.

Also I think you're all missing the most important thing: there was a commercial for for game action on tv tonight. We're close enough to actual baseball that they're running commercials for it now.

I guess I am one of the few that can't stand Lawrie.

I am strongly thinking about getting a Dickey jersey.
