Another thread? I would understand if it was someone from a different board, but c`mon.
I mean seriously.
And the answer couldn`t be more obvious at this point, so why even make it?

Fayne isn`t nearly as valueable to other teams as he is to us. I don`t see other GMs asking Lou about him and considering him a proven commodity (yet).
Funny how three years ago damn near everyone on this board wanted Volchenkov on this team.
The guy's still pretty good defensively, if anything, it'll be Tallinder that gets moved.
With his contract, people expected more and rightfully so. I think the NJ coaching staff has reigned him in instead of letting him loose physically. He's never been the best positionally. He made his money off doing anything to win and throwing monster hits.
Kovalchuk. $100M man didn't get a point the last 2 games, what a bum.

Lou did hint at this over the Summer that he could trade a defenseman. I think he just said 2 or 3 days ago that we're still trying to figure out what to do at forward too.
In order of who I'd most be willing to part with:
Volchenkov (I love Volch but we already have enough defensive defensemen here)
Zidlicky (good at moving the puck but scares me on giveaways/being beat)
Fayne
Tallinder
Salvador
Greene
Larsson
Also, I think people underestimate Tallinder's value. He can make very good breakout passes/move the puck when he needs to plus he isn't bad when it comes to defending. He has size and experience as well. Aside from Larsson/Greene I think Tallinder is arguably our most valuable player in terms of what he could bring in return in a trade. Pretty underrated.
