We'll he will get plenty of time to play. I hope he can become a star.

I love both of Colorado's uni's. I think they tried to set themselves apart, I think they did well.

Obafemi Martins to Seattle looking more and more likely that it's going to happen.

Quote:
TUKWILA, Wash. – Nothing is done yet, but the Seattle Sounders are closing in on securing the transfer of Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins.

“He’s a player we’re sort of circling the wagons on and hopefully with a little bit of luck, [we’ll] bring into the organization,” Sounders GM Adrian Hanauer told reporters on Tuesday.

Hanauer also confirmed that the Sounders are hoping to add Martins to the roster before the close of the transfer window in mid-April, which would make the goalscoring star eligible to play as soon as his paperwork is finalized.

At the same time, Martins has apparently told a Spanish radio station that he’s not happy at Spanish club Levante and that he wants to leave now.

Hopefully it involes not allowing Ruiz anywhere near them. No idea why they would bring him in.

The look is great, though. I like the idea of the alternate, but I'm reserving judgement on it. Philadelphia's new alternate kit pays homage to Bethlehem Steel, and it's nothing short of fantastic.
LOL I was gonna say the Rapids are one of like 5-6 teams in MLS that could actually do that because of how few ST holders they have

Union will play in their new third jersey Saturday.

My first impression is that they're only ok. I think they're growing on me though.

TFC making moves.

Trade Quincy Amarikwa to Chicago for a 2014 Supplemental draft pick.
Sign QPR winger Hogan Ephraim on loan until June.
Closing in on signing Welsh forward Robert Earnshaw.
Closing in on signing an 'young Argentine DP'.
Kevin Payne is 'confident of acquiring two Honduran MF's'.

Earnshaw will help them.

Will be interesting to see which 3 players are coming in.

If you get a chance to head over to SI.com, Grant Whal asked 25 MLS players a series of questions that are league related. He promised anonymity in return for honest answers and gave the questions in rapid fire form. Only rule was couldn't vote for anything to do with yourself/team/franchise. Questions like dirtiest player, best pitch, worst pitch, worst owner, worst/best atmosphere, changes the league needs to make, player you most respect, most underrated, etc. I would link but on mobile and don't think most of you want that. It's nothing ground breaking but still an interesting read.

Edit: the one answer that surprised me, Ben Olsen finishing second for "Coach you'd most like to play for?"

Can he dribble/pass/cross/shoot? We've got Nyarko who's a burner that can pass a bit. Considering I've never heard of him I'm assuming he's a late game sub where his speed will cause trouble for tired defenders

Yep. He's amazing.

I was very concerned he got the job too early, and that they wouldn't support him with the talent he needed to succeed. he's making a lot out of some parts, he's a very good manager, but their scouting and development program has definitely served him very well.

Anyone got any info on the Whitecaps shirt for this season?

I only keep a veiled interest in the MLS and don't claim to "support" any team in particular but If I had to I'd probably choose Vancouver (Although the time distance can be annoying but normally games are at about 00:00 which isn't too bad). If I had to support a team in the East as well I'd probably go for Toronto or Philadelphia or New York.

Danny Mwanga to Colorado.

Sources tell me Rapids trading a 2015 1st-rd pick to Portland for Mwanga. Timbers likely to sign former West Ham F Freddie Piquionne #RCTID
Ji-Sung Park to MLS? Toronto?

Ji Sung Park, the latests to be linked with #MLS - Obvious rumor flying around is Toronto FC due to Nelsen.

Whitcaps FC new kit. Not a fan personally, going to grab their 11-12 shirt while it's on sale.
