I think I read that vaneks been on the ice for every one of our goals this season. I love vanek but that has to change
One thing i noticed last night was, even though they score a lot, HPV is on the ice for a lot of goals against. They must improve defensively, Vanek especially. Hodgson was poor in that regard last night as well and will need to improve.

You'll have to help me get used to the prospects etc. I've only really got into the NHL in the last couple of seasons and most of the games I have been able to catch were of the Red Wings, Penguins and Rangers. I chose the Sabres as my team last season so i'm still relatively new to the team.

-Sekera is a top shutdown defenseman
-Miller is a god when playing well but when he gets in a slump he probably wants to be traded to be closer to his wife
-Leino was a bad signing
-Ehrhoff was a good signing
-Stafford needs to be better

1) Why pick the Sabres? I like the fact that they have a solid fan base and set-up, a team that can compete and that I am not jumping on a bandwagon like I would be if I were to start supporting a team like the Penguins.

Been watching NHL for a couple of years. Initially I liked the Preds because of the local connection with my favourite NFL team (the Tennessee Titans), but I was really a neutral until last season I decided to pick a team and chose the Sabres. Only just found out that this message board existed.
Putting money down on Ruff giving a second look at some point tonight of Grigo on the 2nd line. They desperately need secondary scoring and it looked real good for the brief glimpse last night.
