Yak will score with 1 second left to make it a 4-3 loss. He'll then slide from one end to the other and dry hump a goal post till someone throws a bucket of cold water on him. Oilers commentators will praise his enthusiastic goal celebration.
Or the Flames are going to be up 7-2, Gagner scores and does the around the world fist pump.
I remember him doing that once when the Canucks were up 4-0
I'm waiting for the commentators to start verbally blowing the Oilers' towel boy since they've given verbal service to every single other employee of the Oilers' organization. And once again they're losing to the offensive power house that is the Flames with less than 30 seconds left.

It is actually amazing. How can you be that impressed by an organization that has finished last or near last in the league how many years in a row? I don't fault oiler fans for being excited for their team but the announcers have been nauseating.
Gagner still gave it a little "**** ya" after he scored. What a loser, lol
Schultz is deadly on the PP with Eberle, that aside they aren't mentally ready. There is just zero big picture in any of their young guys atm. They are stuck in the moment, with no expectations or responsibility. Management needs
to bring in some veteran leadership that demands they look at the big picture. They should be focused on winning and making the playoffs and a loss is no something to accept.
Five games in and there's a rising chorus of voices calling for a coaching change in T.O.
Just a quick tour through the TML board and you find that the fan base is pretty fractious. Half of them want Dion Phaneuf gone (minus 8...apparently a league worst), half of them want a new goalie (cry me a river) and half want Carlyle's head (yeah, it's his fault).
Meanwhile the idea that Burkie set the table for another GM's success has taken a harsh hit of reality.
The team lacks leadership, heart and depth of talent.
Be a punishment to send Lou into a situation like that.
The more I watch the Oilers, the less I think their problem is their defense. I mean their D core is not amazing, but it's nowhere near as terrible as people make it out to be. I am very impressed with Justin Schultz, looks like he has real superstar potential on D. Makes some overly agressive plays right now, but he's a rookie.
Ryan Whitney is a solid #2/3 guy. Nick Schultz, Ladislav Smid and Jeff Petry look like solid #4/5 guys. That is not awful.
Their issue is their forwards are without question the worst collection of defensively aware forwards I have seen in recent memory.
Gagner, Smyth, Hemsky, Yakupov, Eberle, RNH are all just brutal in their own zone. Their 'vet shutdown' guys are still below average, like Horcoff and Belanger. They are also ridiculously soft. The only edgy players they have that can take a regular shift are Hall and Petrell, and Petrell is more fourth line material. Then there is the useless Hordichuk and struggling Paajarvi.
Tambellini needs to grab a clue and start moving some skill out for some players who are willing to do the grunt work.
if anything, it's just a total lack of accountability by the franchise. some guy on here said it before, but they've really just built up a "losing" culture.

Yeah, I'd hate for Lu to wind up there. I like the guy too much. Besides, it's not as if there'd be a star-studded package coming back.
The TO board is always good for a laugh when the season's underway. It's funny to see how many threads they create about the Vancouver Sun's blogs whenever they mention the Leafs, and half the posts in it are about how obsessed we supposedly are with their team. Meanwhile, I don't know anyone who even reads those blogs here. It's also really good for a laugh to see them tearing into each other like a pack of starving jackals after yet another offseason of hyping themselves into thinking the Leafs were going to magically become a great team with only minor changes to the collection of stiffs they had last year. But don't worry, Nonis will fix everything!
