Honestly, I'm hoping after a week or two that they don't feel the need to mention it every game when Harding is in net. I think it's great in regards to the awareness that it brings, but let's not take it to the extreme in the media where it turns into a label for him. Give him a little bit of normalcy, and don't turn him into a victim. Based on his comments, that's not something he wants.
Back when I was in grad school for music ed, during my special ed class, we were taught that everyone with whatever was a person first, and when addressing them or discussing you should mention they are a man/woman/boy/girl first then the condition next. For example instead of saying "disabled people deal with xyz" you should say people with disabilities deal with xyz." I know it's not a big difference, but it does give those of us with disabilities (I have a rare spinal cord one myself) more of a sense of dignity.
And on that note.....the Dead Things just scored their FIRST power play goal of the season.
