Free Guns For All!

http://news.yahoo.com/arizona-gun-pr...073229701.html

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) A campaign promising free shotguns for people in Tucson's most troubled neighborhoods has divided some residents in a community still reeling from a shooting rampage in 2011 that killed six people, left a congresswoman and several others wounded, and made the city a symbol of gun violence in America.

The nonprofit Armed Citizen Project is part of a national campaign to give shotguns to single women and homeowners in neighborhoods with high-crime rates. The effort comes amid a national debate on gun control after mass shootings in Arizona, Colorado and Connecticut.

Because more guns reduce violence?

Being well removed from the topic or any of its effects I say do it and see what happens. Would work best though if you could take a comparable neighbourhood and start an effort to remove all guns.

Well, you know, gang members usually assume the gangbangers they shoot at don't have any weapons.

In Michigan you have to open a bank account to get your free firearm.

This is a good way to piss off the Anti-Gun Nuts. Now those free guns should be used to kill the criminals who a danger to society.

Except as all the scientifically valid research and studies show that is not what happens.

Statistically, yes. More guns in the population = less people being murdered. Who would have thought, more people owning guns to protect themselves from thugs and criminals = less of those people being murdered.

But let's not let facts dissuade us from our hatred towards guns.

Ram the second amendment up the cornhole. Screw the facts.

Guns R bad! yeaaaaaaah!

What is wrong with free guns? There is simply nothing wrong with that at all as long as background checks are followed (I have no idea if they are or are not here). As long as AAI is performed, there should be no issue.

People calling this "disgusting" need to unbunch their panties and realize that guns are not THE DEBBIL. This is not nearly the same as the idiotic towns trying to force gun ownership on people (blatantly unconstitutional).

Because guns are bad, you right-wing nut-job. If we ban guns, all the murder in the world will stop.

Oh wait... Statistically, that isn't true.. um.. right-wing nut-job!!!

I also don't understand the outrage over a shotgun. It is the single best home-defense weapon available. It's not as if they are handing out AR-15s with 100 round magazines.

It's just that guns massively facilitates countless of possible violent scenarios. That's why when it comes to guns , the fewer the better.

Crime statistics disagree. If you take offense to that, take it up with the government and those in charge of keeping track of murder rates and gun ownership. Sorry your views don't correspond to reality. But that's not on me.

Also, guns don't facilitate violence and violent scenarios, people do. Nice try, though.

That's like saying that cars facilitate millions of deaths each year, ban cars!!

People don't facilitate violent scenarios , they create violent scenarios.

If people facilitated violent scenarios it would mean that they (the violent scenarios) would've happened whether or not people would be there to facilitate them.

Since people = creation of violent scenarios and gun = facilitation of violent scenarios , I don't see why we should mix people and guns more than it is necessary.

Wrong.

To facilitate means to make. People don't make scenarios violent?

Are you retarded?

Serious question.

You clearly don't know the meaning of the word you are arguing about.

Wow.

Again, facilitate means to make or bring about. Simple English. People don't make scenarios violent or bring about violence?

Again, are you retarded or just trolling? Serious question.
