Yeah I was looking at Green as well, I think he'd be a good fit in Dallas.

Especially with our new unis set to debut soon.

We could probably avoid giving up a first round pick, but I don't know.

Goligoski + Vincour + Chiasson + Klingberg for Green + Beagle

That's honestly a horrible trade for Dallas. I'd be OK with giving up Vincour even though I do believe he's going to be a very good forward for Dallas, but trading Chaisson right now is a huge mistake.

He's a playmaking winger which isn't exactly common. He's huge and plays a good defensive game. More importantly, he's a right shot forward with very good faceoff skills. He's potentially the ideal RW for a center like Benn, and I'd be angry honestly if they didn't give him the opportunity to develop and play in Dallas before testing that out.

I'm very high on Reilly Smith, and I do believe he could become an excellent sniper in the NHL. I think Chaisson has the potential to have a better overall game and bigger impact on the Stars.

If Dallas is trading a prospect, and I honestly think that would be a mistake, they should choose between R. Smith, Ritchie, or Stransky. At least they all have similar attributes.

After me hating Ritchie for these past 2 years I absolutely do not want to trade him. He's got a physical game none of our forwards except Benn have, and he should be able to chip in around 25-30 goals in his prime.

I don't have a high opinion of Chiasson. He's a future 3rd liner to me, he's got top 6 skill but so do most of our decent forward prospect. I don't see the hockey sense.

I wouldn't want to trade Ritchie either. It doesn't make sense to move any of these guys until you know what you have.

LAK announce acquisition of defenceman Keaton Ellerby from FLA for a 5th-round draft choice.
Ellerby was the 10th overall pick in 2007

Neither Bachman nor Nihlstrop is going to interest WSH.

Ellerby has played over 100 NHL games, something I'd be shocked if Glennie ever does.

I'd like to see Fraser called up and Smith sent down. Reilly just isn't producing anything.

It's amazing because he's doing all the right things. It's just not turning into goals.

Yeah definitely. Maybe if he can come down here and pot a few, it'll build up some more confidence.

It's honestly almost identical to how he started in the AHL. With three days off, it'd be interesting to see if they ship him up to Canada to meet the Texas Stars.

They play Hamilton and Toronto this weekend on Saturday and Sunday. It wouldn't hurt to get him a game on Sunday where he can play some more minutes. He could join the team in Edmonton on Tuesday.

Smith just needs time to adjust. Same deal as in AHL. Doing all those things right will pay off.

I wouldn't mind Fraser, but he needs to be in a top 6 role.

Same for both of them honestly.

Would be fun to give Gazdic just one game. Absolutely love the guy, and he's a massive fan favorite.

Alright we have our first break. Stars limped through the first string of games and i think they came out great. Now we play 2 average teams and 1 decent team on a road trip, we just need to realistically win 1 out of 3 since we have won 3 of the last 4. After that we have our huge home stand and the team can work on their problems. Honestly i think they have a really good chance of making the playoffs. It all starts with goal-tending and they have one of the best, and our defense is playing better. If we can just figure out our 6 defenders that would be really nice :-D

Razor agrees with you.

@Razor5Hole: Daley, Dillon, Robidas, Rome, Oleksiak, Goligoski. Imperfect, yet most impressive tonight. #bowedup #settone #meatsandcheesesforallofthem

His antics last night (plus Dallas being off until Tuesday) must have had the coaching staff sour on him.

Wonder if we'll see Sceviour come back up, or if they'll just stick with Garbutt and Wandell rotating the 13th spot.

Should we be worried if Larsen demands a trade or his agent? I'm still pissed Rome is in the line up over Larsen.

Also I really think people don't give Vincour enough credit for the work he does,I think his offense will start coming along slowly. But he is definetely capable of playing in the top 9.

Well if they want the best player who won't take stupid penalties, Sceviour should get the call. If they want to stick with the guys on the roster that's fine too.

Also, complaining about R. Smith not producing is incredibly short-sighted.

Gazdic.

No. He has no leverage. He would be stupid to demand a trade.
