I've supported and defended Neuvy all along. I think he's a capable backup until he proves otherwise.

What if you don't have a capable starter?

Apparently not. Knuble also advised Ovechkin to reel it in and save his body, effort, and energy for the playoffs. How's that advice working out?

You get one or you're a lottery team.

I have a bad feeling McPhee's going to dump our two highly touted prospects for help right away, only worsening our situation.
It's time to run his ass out of town soon, before he has a chance to do it.

Part of me is worried about this ... He's going to try and go for the "Iginla for Nieuwendyk" type trade and he's not going to get it right.

But then the other part remembers that it would be completely against his M.O. Probably the trade of that nature that could have actually been a slam-dunk (Pronger for Carlson + IIRC), was turned down. When we had a roster that was scoring at an insane pace, and desperately needed exactly what Pronger brought.

This is where Ted needs to step in and tell GMGM his ass his grass.

If Luongo is what the scouting was for, then I don't think a top prospect is out the door. I don't think anyone is beating the door down for him.

If I had to guess, Laich may be the major piece going back, with maybe Hamrlik?/Kundratek?, then either a pick or someone like Galiev.

Kuz and Forsberg are too much to pay. If anything, those two coming over is what management is banking on to save this team.

I'd guess VAN wants the Vancouver guy Brouwer.

I'm guessing its Laich. Just a thought because I remember Gillis saying he had a deal with a team but that team was waiting on a player (Laich's injury) before the move could be made. And that they were in D.C. today scouting whoever else is involved in the deal. Just my 2 cents.

randomly shuffling lines works great in NHL 13. Ovechkin-Schultz-Fehr dream team all the way.

I'd take most trades right now and a bag of pucks because this team is doing worse, might as well tank to last place in the league.

Alot of Canucks fans on the main board are agreeing that Lach,Johansson & Neuvirth for Lu & Raymond is a good deal

That would be your first clue that they win it big

I think Brouwer, Neuvirth and a 2nd is about right for Lou.

Brouwer's increase in salary next year along with the sudden awakening of Ward makes him spendable and I think Neuvirth is closer to capping out on his max potential than Holtby.

Will Luongo score 30 goals for us? If not, pass.

He has the same ESP/60 as Marcus Johansson this season, so he is going to do that in the future or something.

You know, Nucks fans are winning all Luongo trades they propose because they consider him an elite goaltender and not goaltender who struggled mightily in postseason and will have his team on cap penalty in few years. I think once he's actually traded, they will be really disappointed with what they get back.

Luongo may not be the answer to all our problems but he's in another league than Neuvirth and Holtby both career wise and right now. Anyone who doesn't think he'd be a massive upgrade on either is deluding themselves.

.944/1.46 and nucks skaters are playing almost as bad as ours.
