Good News: Possible MITB at WM Bad News: Current choice to win

Wretlezone.com

Quote:
PWInsider.com is reporting there have been talks about bringing back a Money In The Bank match to WrestleMania this year.

The report states the talks have came up and Ryback's name has been discussed as a leading candidate to win the briefcase if the match was to take place. Ryback has also still been linked to possibly having a match with Big Show at WrestleMania 29
I guess this could have gone in the WM thread...oh well.

I don't like how they took MITB away from WM and made it into it's own PPV anyway. I guess they didn't want a spot during the MITB stealing the show like Jeff Hardy at Wrestlemania 23.

Ryback?

give it to an up and coming superstar. Ryback has been in main events for months.

Put Ryback vs. Big Show at WrestleMania for a short 5 - 7 minute match and have Ryback go over and then have him chase a heel World Heavyweight Champion. Give the MITB to Sandow, Rhodes, etc. someone along those lines.

If this does come to fruition, hopefully this will lead to less gimmick PPV's. #silverlining

Not thrilled about Ryback being the possible choice to win. It's hard for me to believe he'd be getting pushed as hard as he is if he wasn't built like Zangief from Street Fighter.

I think WWE turned PPV business around enough since 2010 enough that they can cut the gimmick PPVs now. Vince said himself the gimmick PPVs were brought in to help slumping PPV business, but now PPV business has turned around (only after all those matches have lost their mystic and credibility).

Bring back Vengeance, No Way Out, Unforgiven, No Mercy, Armageddon, Bad Blood, etc.

I always thought they should have kept the February PPV name "No Way Out" instead of changing it to "Elimination Chamber". It's the same concept and I never saw the need to rename it to the actual gimmick's name.

Armageddon and Bad Blood definitely need to come back. I have some good memories of some of those older PPV's.

Kane's debut in '97.

Classic.

Make up your mind Vince. You're the one pushing Ryback to the moon.

Ryback likes to eat steak wraps. You know how many he gives me every day goddammit!?

When he DOESN'T bring me the steak wraps is when I start to hate that freak.

Barrett should win MitB.

What would be cool is if Ziggler still had his MitB and they both tried to cash in at the same time, leading to a Ziggler/Barret feud. Have them be co-champions and have them solve it in a ladder match or something. I don't know, spice things up a little bit.

Typical heel like fashion by Martini. Although I don't have much of an issue with Ryback winning the MITB. It doesn't fit his type of character, but who cares? I think it's better served for other guys who can run down and cash in. Ryback running down and cashing in would be weird.

Edge was the perfect guy. He made it look so good as if he were cheating to win.

Cesaro or Sandow arrogantly struting in would work well. (With where both of their characters currently are anyways.)

Edit: To add on to this thought, I think having the arrogant ***** with the briefcase sets up a situation where the character could suffer winning or losing. If they win they continue their growth as a heel. If they lose and get berated, it could start a huge face turn. Both outcomes could do wonders for an up and coming heel.

No he's not, money in the bank should be a way to introduce midd-carder to main eventers. Just like Cena winning it was an horrible idea.

Punk, Ziggler, Bryan, Miz comes to mind as midd card elevated to upper card thanks to mitb

Ryback is already thrown into the main event.

Rhodes or Sandow should win it IMO

I don't think it's believable that Ryback could climb the ladder without an oxygen mask on.

Well, considering Ryback is over with the fans, him winning means theres some swerve being thought up somewhere else on the card.

Also, Ryback has kind of lost his momentum. Winning the mitb gives him back a bit.

If he can make it to the fifth rung without being exhausted.

He'll just eat the ladder and proceed to **** it out in order to boost himself up instead. Spot of the year!

My fav cash in was Punk rushing down the ramp holding on to a ref with one arm and the case with the other after Edge was destroyed by Batista.

My favorite was probably the first one, because of how surprising it was, but I really liked the Miz's too. Some people might think that's a bit odd, but overall I thought it was great. From the look on Orton's face when Miz came out(some great camera work there) to all the kids in the crowd being pissed off, I loved it.

There was also the whole Nexus/Cena/Barrett angle that was getting all the attention, a cash in was completely out of left field.
