Schroeder is proving he belongs with the big club.

Really hope that when everyone is healthy, Schroeder takes the spot of someone like Malholtra. I don't want to hear any garbage about giving Schroeder more minutes to develop in the AHL. Canucks are trying to win the cup now, and it's pretty simple.

Schroeder > Malholtra

Man whodathunkit? Put young skill players in a position to succeed and sometimes they'll rise to the occasion. I pray that AV has learned a lesson in these handful of games.

this team has major decisions to make come the end of the year. all these contracts up. and the cap going down. and people who we'd normally let walk are all of a sudden doing well? makes it tough!

Only one of those two guys came away from that fight bloody, and it wasn't Kevin. He lost his balance here and there, but "ragdolled" is pushing it, in my opinion.

To be fair, I've been talking up Schroeder's defensive game since last season. He's on another level compared to Hodgson in that regard. It's not surprising AV is already trusting him more than he ever did Hodgson.

Loved what I saw tonight. And the boys are improving every game and starting to gel and get their legs. Great to see.

Great game. This should be the Canucks healthy lineup. Hamhuis and Bieksa got to pick up their game. 5 points by the Sedin line.

Sedin-Sedin-Kassian
Higgins-Kesler-Booth
Raymond-Schroeder-Burrows
Volpatti-Malhotra-Lapierre

Hamhuis-Bieksa
Edler-Garrison
Ballard-Tanev

Schneider
Luongo

I hope they try to keep him with Schroeder even when Booth and Kesler come back. Instead of one good line the canucks could create two.

Schroeder is such a smart, nifty li'l player. He's going to be a good one and will likely help Raymond get a fat paycheck from some team in the summer.

Shortshorts game review

Defense:

Edler, Garrison, Tanev and Ballard were exceptional!
-LOVE Ballard coming to Edlers defense. We need that comradery and is a large reason why I don't want Ballard traded. No one else does that from our defense.
-Tanev is so solid defensively. He's an amazing defensemen. Can't wait for his first goal to come.
-I really wish Garrison stopped roaming in the PP and just unload slappers. Not sure if this is a PP setup or just Garrison.

Hamhuis and Bieksa. You guys suck. Get it together.

Offense: The lack of 5v5 offense is a serious concern. However, considering our major injuries it's expected.

Sedins executed. That's what AV wanted, that's what he got. Great game.

Kassian. Good game, got himself involved physically, and scored himself a goal on the PP. We can't expect the bruising dominating powerforward every game. It's simply not sustainable, nor should we expect it extremely consistently from a 22year old.

I told you guys about Raymond Suck it haters. Kesler and Raymond is simply not a good fit due to Kesler's playstyle. Schroeder is a perfect compliment to Raymond.

Schroeder found Raymond perfectly in stride with a beautiful saucer pass. Played very well defensively, and won the majority of his faceoffs. That's a perfect coaches game right there. Perfect rookie game for him.

Burrows playing much better. Bodes well for the future. Definitely got a kick in the butt when AV sent Weise out with the Sedins instead of him.

4 line played super solid. Lappiere and Weise played very solid games. Volpatti had an exceptional game. All of them hitting, cycling and solid defensively. Well rewarded at the end of the game on the PP.

Hansen had a quiet game.

Higgins sucks.

Funny, I wasn't even thinking about Hodgson there, although I suppose that's the example that most strikes a chord with this fanbase. I had Grabner in mind.
