Said Feaster: 'I’m sorry — Edmonton finished where last year, caller? Want to wager on where we finish relative to Edmonton this year? I’m tired of this question, I’ll tell you very honestly. I’m getting a little sour. How many teams . . . every year, for the last 10 years, five years, eight years, have finished in the bottom five, bottom seven, bottom 10? I bolded my favourite part of this quote.

We're no closer to getting out of the basement than we were 10 years ago? 10 years ago (from the time of this quote), we were 4 seasons away from being in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Does that mean we are 3 years away from the SCF right now?

We'll see how he feels when we start kicking his teams ass with regularity. Likely starting tomorrow night.

Remember how feaster got his job? He was supposed to be a temporary thing, but I guess no other GM in the NHL would sign with Calgary because their owners pretty much sent out the message of "We refuse to go through a rebuild and we want to compete for a playoff spot every year."

That would surely be enough to scare off most GM's. I guess the donuts in Calgary are good enough to keep Feaster sticking around.

Anyhow, it'll be robbery if we don't score at least give goals against these jokers.

I say 5-2. Dubby lets 1 good goal and one soft one in.

Just had a Flames fan tell me he doesn't think Yakupov is legit and his celebrations are shameful. I really hope Yakupov lights up the Flames, I really really hope he just goes off.

Yesterday's game was so epic I had to download it.

Hope we carry that momentum to today's game.

Hordichuk in please. I'd like for him to be there when Glencross inevitably tries to be a tough guy with the kids.

IMO Hordi in for Hartikainen should be a no brainer.

I hate to say it, but Peter Maher is one of the best in the business. Old school. He just calls a great game, doesn't spout off useless stats or get excited by dump ins. Not a super homer either; he obviously wants the Flames to win, but he isn't annoying about it.

They're bitter, jealous, afraid. Yakupov takes ****s that are destined for greater things than the Flames are.

Hoping for a 6-3 win for the good guys.

Cack. The passion remains, but the ability is mostly gone at this point.

I want them to relocate back to Atlanta and watch the yokels cry.

Or eternally finish 9th in the west.

Hearing those old calls of the Dallas-Edmonton series vs. his calls the last few years gives you an idea just how far he has slid -- but he is still better than a lot of commentators out there.

On TV, I find I don't really care if they drop the play or slip up on some things. I'd rather they have the passion and the voice, and I've never had a problem with Bob Cole's calls. There's something distinctly "Hockey Night in Canada" about them.

I like Miller, Quinn, Cuthbert and Hughson when he isn't calling the Canucks more, but that might be it. Ball might be sharper, but he just doesn't incite the passion or have the voice that Cole does.
