Our GM is a accountant and our owner Silent Stan Kroenke overpayment won't happen. My guess is he gets 1.25 million each year 2.5 mill in total.

Meh. Wasn't my first choice for the 4th line. Wasn't my 3rd or 4th choice either.

Heart and soul player. A player who gave up valuable blood, sweat and tears for the Rangers franchise. He is also elite at possessing the puck. This will be a great fit, I guarantee it.

Mitchell was solid for the Rangers last year. Tortorella trusted him in many different situations.

He is not a McClement replacement. Plays his position(4th line C), but is not nearly as good defensively. Mitchell averaged 1 second of penalty killing time per game last year.

Thanks for the input, really helps when people who watched him chip in.

Well McClement wasn't putting up pts and Mitchell probably won't so no difference there.

It just depends on which version shows up, he was good for NYR in the playoffs but I've seen the ugly side of his game a lot in Toronto as well so who knows if this guy can bring the intensity for an 82 game season.

I was hoping they just put Olver at 4th line C if we're gonna keep Kobascrew and McLeod and get top 9 wingers instead.

I remember seeing him on the pp for the rangers in the playoffs. Could work well with olver and kobasew on the 4th line.

Olver loses all faceoffs they can't have him at centre.

Yeah, he's not a PKer and his defensive play leaves something to be desired.

That being said, if you put him with some big bodies he can be very effective at helping them cycle. He's a good stickhandler who can hang onto the puck (though he sometimes overdoes it). Hes not exactly a faceoff wiz, but he can win them at a good clip.

Overall he's a solid fourth liner. You'll probably hear some negative stuff from Ranger fans because Torts overused him at times and people got frustrated.

Don't follow the rangers but when I was in Manhattan this year Mitchell was used as a punch line by the fans I sat around at a game.
