I haven't even been able to watch the last two games. The effort in game 2 made me so sick. I knew we were in deep trouble. It seems it's only getting worse

Something needs to be done to WAKE UP this team. At times they look like they are skating at a slower speed than the other team. Last night both Jovo and Kuli let a Flyer forward skate past them. Kuli made a nice pokecheck to recover, but where are their legs?

As others have asked; what did these guys do during the lockout? Do they not have the committment to win/compete that the teams they have faced so far do? While Dineen and Tallon cannot be directly blamed for this as they were not allowed to interact during the lockout, is the culture of the team to blame? Why didn't this group get in the same physical condition that other teams have?

Something needs to be done. Last season the Booth trade woke them up and showed that no one, not even a huge fan favorite, was safe.

Let's hope something is done and soon!

I imagine that, when the players return from injury, we will eventually become what we were last season--a hard-working, offensively challenged team. Unfortunately, in a 48 game season, we will likely be too far behind to have a genuine shot at the playoffs.

Kovalev and Jovo just need to seriously retire, just hang up the skates please.
Kuba is simply just anther body out there on the ice, was he supposed to be Garrison's replacement? HAhaHA!
Parros hasn't even fought anyone yet...in other words, he hasn't done what he was brought here to do..
Flash, listen I like what you did last year, you do have some skillset, but you have suuucked this year and are softer than balsa wood
Weiss, yeah now I know why you weren't named captain.
Campbell, I like you, you belong here, but what is wrong with you lately?
Huberdeau, dude start eating, hit the gym, and realize that this is not juniors, you're making more mistakes than Jovo is, concentrate on doing the simple things and working hard instead of trying to impress with things that aren't coming out...
Clemmensen's another Leighton, in other words, he'd be great playing for the Rampage.
Theo, I love you dude, and sorry for this mess.
Matthias thanks for working hard I guess, but unfortunately your ceiling is 0 production, same for Skille, same for Smithson
Ellerby=Jovo jr.
Santorelli, go play for Cincinnati or something
Kulikov, needs to play better, which I can say for everyone I guess

aaaagh, w/e I'm done..

We ran that guy out of town because of the piss-poor product on the ice.

Olesz just flat out sucked and was just another checkmark on a list of horrendous picks made by Florida since our inaugural season.
That's Horton's fault, and if Huby does the same disappearing act here, then we should run him out of town too. If Horton had gutted it out, we would have been a better team, and might have made the playoffs before we did. We only missed by one point in 08/09.

But we have a much brighter future if we get MacKinnon or Jones than Horton had in the mid-2000's. We have an incredible pool of prospects, some of which are already spilling over into the NHL. Our prospect pool now is 10 times better than it was a decade ago.

Olesz was just not a top six player, I don't think it was necessarily a developmental problem. Injuries took their toll too. He was just picked in an awful draft, check out the 2004 draft, it is one of the worst classes of talent ever. We actually did OK in that we got an NHL player. A lot of 1st rounders from that class either busted or didn't last as long as Olesz did.

If we had the same injuries on last year's team the only difference would be closer losses. We'd still be 1-4. Training camp and preseason eliminate a lot of sloppy play and they get all the basic stuff down but there's no chance we win with all these key forwards out. It sucks and I don't see how we salvage this season.

I see quite a few people bringing up Barkov. Haven't really seen the kid. You guys who bring him up, can you give a scouting report? Why would you like him here?

Olesz is an NHL player according to the Florida Panthers. According to the Blackhawks, he's an AHL player.

Olesz is fine as a bottom six player. It was his contract that sucked. The Blackhawks sent him to the AHL because of that contract. Olesz scored 20 pts. or more 4 times, with one season of 30 pts. Along with good defense and physicality. That's not an NHL player?

My biggest concern is that the players are so utterly lacking right now in the most basic and simplest of things. Skating instead of gliding, checking not hugging, positioning not being lost on ice. It all speaks of lack of conditioning, practice and focus. Stuff you're supposed to have before season starts.

Player-wise I'd agree with others who've specifically called out Jovo, Kovalev, Parron, Ellerby, etc -- and add to that especially Kopecky and Matthias who're just hot air at best. Smithson is a ghost out there and Kuba ain't worth yorkman's urinal (provided to you by Boca Diamond Specialists).

My big concern about young players is that as we are rebuilding we never get done, and the good guys end up getting fed up and leave when their time is up. Part of the problem is that even if we can claim to have the best young core in hockey, you need to supplement it with key free agency picks, like Campbell. But that was special situation due to Olesz; in reality we are never in play for the Parises or Kovalchuks. That's on ownership; it's amazing to me that they don't think south Florida has enough of a hockey market to pay for a more aggressive payroll.

Parros hasn't fought a single time? You'd think that would be just one way to wake them up. Call me crazy but I think this team really misses Gudbranson out there. He would lay out a big hit or fight to get the team going.

Btw.. Can we still send Huberdeau down to juniors?

I think he would have to be sent down now (before Tuesday's game), which I personally don't think will be the case.

I think half our team would be AHL players for Chicago

Aren't season tickets just over $100 bucks. It would explain why the pricey seats are empty. I have to pay 2x that to see one game this year.

The 7 dollar seats are in the uppers, in the end zone.

I pay about $60 for season tickets per game.

What you pay for hockey in your market is irrelevant. I'm sure rafter tickets are quite cheaper than heat tkts.

Where are your season to ticket seats located? Are they pretty decent?
