There was a brief explosion of interest this week when deposed New York Rangers bench boss John Tortorella was interviewed in Vancouver on Tuesday but the ornery coach is a much more likely candidate in Dallas, where he is set to be interviewed next week.
Also some stuff about Vigneault towards the end of the article.

From the link above:

hen there’s the young players. Vigneault was not fond of watching inexperienced NHLers flail on his watch. Now, there is no choice, Gillis has said explicitly several times. Vancouver will have to lean much more heavily on unproved young players next year, largely because the team is in a tremendous salary-cap crunch and names such as their first-round draft choice last year, Brendan Gaunce, a 6-foot-2, 207-pound, 19-year-old centre who captained the OHL’s Belleville Bulls last season, is a definite candidate to make the team.
Hadn't considered it, but yeah .... made me remember his icy relationship with Hodgson was a big reason the guy got shipped out. He does seem to hold grudges also when you look at how Ballard has been handled.

Well with the amount of youth on our team going into next season, perhaps this is why AV hasn't been anointed "The Next One" just yet.

After reading that, i got a feeling Torts is going to be it. Given AV isn't really good with youth.

If you're only going on the youth aspect then Lindy Ruff is the best option.

Torts is just as bad with youth and just as bad on holding grudges against certain players.

Yeah, the more I think about it the more Lindy Ruff seems like he might be the best candidate.

He's really not bad with youth at all. Del Zotto, McDonaugh, Stepan, etc. People say he's bad with youth because of this year's situation with Kreider, who until the last fifth of the season didn't deserve to be in the lineup. It's called accountability, something we could desperately use.

Surprised Guy Boucher's name hasn't been mentioned more, not just for the Stars position, but for any of the teams looking. Maybe if he had consistent goaltending he would have had more success. Then again, maybe it's his coaching that makes goalies look bad.

It would seem to be telling that his name hasn't been mentioned for any of these positions. Here the Stars are interviewing a whole herd of coaches and Boucher's name hasn't come up.

My thinking exactly. Ruff is the better option when it comes to playing and grooming young guys.

I've kind of had a good feeling about Ruff all along.. I'd be happy with that.

Just go get Ted Nolan. We'd have the inside scoop on all the Latvian draftees.

AV was the guy we've been pushing for. Hes been waiting on the Rangers though and theyve been back and forth. Seems he'd rather be coaching them anyways if he's waiting on them. Hearing today is a decision day for them.

If AV goes there Id be happy with Ruff. As long as he admits it was a goal.

Ruff was the coach for buffalo when we beat them for the Cup. He cried and whined about it for years. I really feel that he discredited the Sabres organization and acted classlessly. I don't want to see him do the same to our organization. If some of you think Torts whined and made the the Rangers look bad, the same should be said for Ruff.

Vigneault I'm not really concerned about the report with the younger players. It'd be a different situation in Dallas. The problems I have are with the locker room reports if that's accurate, that's not a good thing for a coach. Not to mention the tendency to sit on leads.

What locker room reports? C'mon man, you do this a lot. If you've got something to say don't beat around the bush.

Now I'm leaning more towards Tippett coming back. However, Nill said he wants a coach by the draft, and Tipp isnt out of his contract until July.

I really just do not want Torts. He's a huge dbag and I don't want him ruining our locker room.
