In the article Holmgren talks about Carter, Richards, Potulny, Ruzicka, Umberger, Eager, Voce, Beauchemin, and Picard.

excellent read. if the Phantoms can get Carter and Richards and even Ruzicka for the Calder Cup playoffs, they may be very tough to deal with.

I'm not sure how much they'll get from those guys, as Owen Sound, Kitchener and the Soo will all make the OHL playoffs.

I'm hoping that Soo drops the division title so they will face Kitchner or Owen Sound. Then we'll get atleast one helping hand.

good read.

hmm, no mention of Dov Grumet-Morris. kind of surprising after the year he has had.

Time sure changes things though. Looking back on a draft day review in '03, The Forecaster had this to say of two of our prospects:

Jeff Carter
"The Flyers left several more talented players on the board."

Not many will agree with this one anymore.

Stefan Ruzicka
"He could miss altogether because of a lack of strength."

Lack of strength is no longer a worry, but motivation may be.

Barring a complete collapse, that's not going to happen. They should end up 2-3-4.

When does the Phantoms' season end? Odds are at least one or more likely two of Carter/Richards/Ruzicka will be available after the second round of playoffs.

April 17th. Do you have approximate end dates for rounds one, two and three in the OHL playoffs ???

Thanks!

The first round starts on or about March 25 (Rangers will start on the 25th if they have home ice, otherwise the 26th in Erie) and ending April 4. The second round will likely start a couple of days later. The third round should start on or about the 17th.

Anything can happen....... (I wouldn't put a penny on it, mind you... but it all depends on how it plays out. If Kitchener ends up playing London in the second round, it's not going to be pretty. The best we can hope for is that Guelph beats the hell out of them... or that Kitchener beats the hell out of them for Owen Sound!)
