If there was a game literally tomorrow 1/27/2013, and your team had a must win, and you could have any goalie in the league between the pipes, who would you take?

I'd keep Varly, he's used to having to bail out our defensemen and so won't be surprised when SOB, Wilson, Hejda or O'Byrne do something completely retarded. Plus when he's on top of his game he's as good as anybody, and right now he's playing on top of his game. For a hypothetical team that's had time to grow together before this game I'd rather have Quick, Henrik or Rinne (in that order), but for the Avs? Stickin with the guy who's already settled in.

I'll keep my goalie, too. Rask let up 4 goals in the NYR game, none of which were his fault. Other than that, he's let up 2, 1, and 1. He's been fantastic.

Not saying he's the best, but I wouldn't want anyone else.

I pick Ryan Miller.

He plays great against the Leafs, maybe it could work out the other way too .

Varlamov for sure. He's been playing out of his mind recently, so maybe he'll keep it going? Sharks will be a TOUGH game though that's for sure.

Though if I had to pick someone else, it would probably be Lundqvist or Rinne

Why isn't Carey Price on this list? Better than most of these guys.

Bryz, Loungo, Fleury, any of those goalies playing for a must in, I'd surely pick one of them.

Lehtonen was amazing in his last game, despite his team being not so good. Well see what hell to today

Same team?

Because I wanna keep Henrik Lundqvist, it's a new team in front of him that I wanna choose in this scenario.

I could have gone with Grant Fuhr.. but I didn't want the "other" choice to pile up too much...

1 season removed from the greatest single season by a goalie of all time.

really depends on the team in front but you can't go wrong with either Lundqvist or an aging Brodeur.

At the NHL level, any of these goalies are competent enough to get the job done.

Sorry, still giving that to Hasek. Unless you're counting Brian Elliot's season last year as the greatest season of all time.

I'm surprised Brodeur isn't getting many votes. Despite his age, he is still a great goalie, Devils are 3-0 to start the year. Most importantly, he has over 100 playoff wins, I believe, and has THE MOST experience of any other goaltender. He knows what it takes to win. If there was a must win, I would take Brodeur over any other goalie.
