Does Fluery playing the puck ever NOT result in sustained pressure for the opposition? They need to get that fixed..

What crap might that be? Is it DB's fault that Neal is giving the puck away, Letang can't take a pass, and Sid's wingers are lumps?

Or at least the 2nd PP unit. Dupuis has one PP goal in two years. That's That's only one more than Tangradi.

Well, one is certainly warranted.
On Kunitz, he just seems to be in the worst position to make plays when the pucks around him.

Yeah, because his 6-7 minutes of Ice Time is really what is bringing this team down. He's clocked 2:20 or so and he's the entire problem of the Pens or maybe:
Horrible power play
Horrible cute passing
Horrible "free breakaway" passes across the middle
Funny thing is... I can tell Niskanen shot from the point because it actually hits the net

id say about 60% of the time fleury handles the puck, the other team ends up with it.

Or for once he made a nice play that even the haters should appreciate but won't.

I'm definitely not on the Eric Tangradi bandwagon obviously but even I think he should be getting a shot at the powerplay as a net front guy.

Average first period.
+ Neal looks to have his shooting boots on, good finish from him.
+ Niskanen is playing well
+ Vitale is doing fantastic
- PP looks awful again
- Passing has been a bit suspect in places, longer ones seem to be connecting better though
- Kennedy's miss. Just. wow.

Pretty sure neither of the defensemen paid any attention to the big dog driving the net at all...

Actually, it tells me that HF Boards aren't the only ones that noticed his sub-par level of play. They are very obviously over-compensating for him doing exactly what he needs to be doing.
At the same time, I think they want to see the guy succeed as much as a lot of folks on these boards.

I don't have a problem with that as long as he earns his spot. He needs to do a lot more of the *Shift* to be considered locking down any given spot.
Until he does more than one really good *SHIFT*, that's his new nickname, The Shift.

The can't gap up on Malkin and Neal because of the centre drive. It wasn't rocket surgery, but Tangradi definitely opened the lane.

Can we please ban Lovejoy from the team as well?
I'm someone who has one man hate chases but Despres deserves to be playing ahead of him.
