RANT:

Can we get off to a good start to a game finally! Stop with the stupid penalties! Can we play a game where we don't give the other team a 5-on-3 PP for over a minute! Can we defend in front of the net for once! How about dropping the gloves to change the momentum a bit or at least give your fans something to cheer about since nothing else is happening! Where's the effort? Can we take down or lock the Huber Calder thread because he hasn't scored a point since it went up after scoring 3 in the opening game! Can Lindsay stop with the jinx comments!

Ok, I think I'm done....at least until the end of the next period.

I like how Kulikov is getting crucified the past few days while Brian Campbell has played like absolute crap as well yet he gets a free pass. Come on guys.

Who's crucifying Kulikov?
In order to get a good player via trade, we have to trade a player with value, no? Campbell's contract isn't very valuable in a trade.

Why can't a mediocre team trade a certain player to try and get better? If you could trade Kulikov for a forward who could put up about 30 goals (goals...the thing that wins hockey games and we rarely score enough of), you wouldn't do it? I would. In a heartbeat.

This is all because of injuries right? ...right?

Frustrating to watch; it seems like every team since the Sens has played us the same way and we have no response to it.

Billy, for the love of god. Stop using the phrase "all kinds of". You're using it in every other sentence.

What exactly does George Parros do other than disallowing us to roll four lines, at this point?

Weak call on Kuli forces the refs to call the make-up on Simmonds.

Lol looking at the good crowd off last season's momentum every loss that goes by that crowd will become less and less.

at Matthias.
Flash is wide open, but he shoots a backhander from about 30 feet away. That's a high percentage shot...

panthers are playing the kind of hockey where every blue moon a puck will bounce off someones skate and go in the net, but otherwise no goals. they are showing no ability to maintain puck possession in the offensive zone and the few seconds they do have the puck the player is under constant harassment from multiple flyers players.

We could have signed Tootoo, who in addition to fighting actually plays like a 4th liner. Parros does nothing to help the team win.

2nd "goon" in a row to be bought out by this team from a 2 year deal.

The worst thing about this franchise is its inability to score. I wouldn't care if they lost every game 5-4. I just want to see goals.

Goals per game (even strength):
'11/'12 - 27th (28th)
'10/'11 - 28th (23rd)
'09/'10 - 28th (25th)
'08/'09 - 17th (6th)
'07/'08 - 20th (19th)
'06/'07 - 11th (5th)
'05/'06 - 21st (6th)
'03/'04 - 25th (21st)
'02/'03 - 29th (28th)
'01/'02 - 27th (28th)
'00/'01 - 24th (21st)
'99/'00 - 7th (8th)
'98/'99 - 15th (14th)
'97/'98 - 20th (23rd)

It would be nice if we didn't take 10 penalties a game.
