Solid move. He's very slow but he still has a cannon of a shot and will bring veteran leadership. Could be a good mentor for Kreider. This could payoff quite well for the Rangers.

He's big and talented, but really slow. The shortened season will really help him have gas left in the tank come playoffs. I wish him and New York luck.

Love this move. I didn't like Boyle on the 3rd line. He will fill that void very nicely.

Not a bad signing for the price, but he is as slow as a week in jail.

He'll be used on the PP where I still think he can flourish. I mean I hope he fails but I like this for the Rangers. Low risk move.

Put him on the PP and let him do his thing. Can this guy be that much more lumbering on the ice then Brian Boyle at this point?

3 and 4 lines need some competition to get that "battle" up that Torts has been unhappy with.

Nice pick up for a contender. He should fit in well with that group.

Will they use him on the point on the PP? That could be dangerous if he coughs up the puck.

Of course the Flyers and Rangers were after him, considering how much he manhandled them both during his years with the Devils.

Always loved Arnie, can't do it anymore though.

The Rangers keep on adding over the hill ex-Devils I see.

I thought the nucks would have signed him? All in all, good move by the Ranges. Deep team.

Yeah... don't want him there.

Hoping for him to be high third man in the slot.

He still has a knack for the puck, smart player, good shot....but too slow to find a place on the rotation with the Blues at the end of last season. I'm not convinced that his negatives mesh well with the Rangers playing style. I wish him luck, but I predict he ends up being a healthy scratch when the Rangers have a healthy line-up.
