The American Hockey League announced today that Manchester Monarchs center Mike Cammalleri has been named the CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending March 6, 2005. Attaboy Cammy. Just when Spezza has a 4 assist game and everyone is saying he has the scoring race locked up, Cammy responds with a 2 goal, 2 assist game!

Its funny since Camms is always asked about Spezza being ahead of him and he always just says we'll see who wins it and has everything calculated out like the games he has and how many points he needs per game

lets hope Cammy can put some big games together this week. 2 of the 3 games are against Springfield on home ice.

I think they are less likely to give it to a monarchs player when they have a great week and someone else on a less talented team has a bit worse of a week. It's allot like the cards last year and the MVP, all three of the players had damn good years so it was hard to vote for just one of em. I could realy care less about player of the week stats, I just want them to have year long good stats and even more importantly I want to see them grab that Calder Cup.
