Panthers have allowed at least 3 goals in every game since opening night.

This was very reminiscent of Price and Halak. Both admitted they would prefer to play elsewhere because they wanted to be "the guy." Price certainly seems to have settled into Montreal happily and Halak expressed he would play for the Habs had they gone in that direction. If Schneider was dealt, I do not see Lu having an issue anymore. He merely wants to be "the guy."

I would agree , because without the Sedins, the canucks are a first or second round playoff team max. So keeping Luongo until the Sedins burnt out seems to be the best bet. Canucks can see how good Eddie Lack is by then.

I would prefer a package of good prospects for Schneider rather than the dog meat we would get for Luongo.

I think the Leafs are sooo happy they didn't make the trade!! Right now Frattin, Kadri and Bozak are all playing like bosses.

Luo is playing pretty well too, WTF is going on with Schneider? he is playing worse than Reimer. Maybe Frattin+Reimer would have worked out well for both clubs.

Luongo has a 0.938 SV%

Which of Scrivens and Reimer can top that?

Slow start and despite what they say, I do believe the tandem is weighing on Schneider. Luongo is playing with a purpose: my crease, get lost. This why the whole Schneider++ for Kessel intrigued me.

My list was miss tagged, I was on wins and Reimer and Scrivens are either ahead or tied with Luo and Schneider.

In all fairness, Luongo's said it's time to move on because he's likely sick and tired of being displaced by a totally unproven goaltender every time he has a little bit of a rough stretch.

The damage done probably isn't irreconcilable if the Canucks move Schneider.

This situation really comes to the difference between the GM and the coach. The coach's job is to put the players on the ice that give him the best chance to win. Right now, that's quite easily Roberto Luongo. It's up the GM to figure out the direction he wants to go with the team, and in this case, he's basically allowing the coach to make that decision. That's always going to be the short term direction.

Well with the strong play of Kadri, Bozak and Frattin (good chance 1 maybe 2 {if Van had pick or prospect coming back} if trade was made) I am happy that trade wasn't made. Reimer has been fairly shaky but has played well enough to give the Leafs a chance and thats all we could ask for. So I'm happy we Leafs fans are watching our youngsters develop for our club not other teams, as was the case sooo many times in the past.

Actually Vancouver was going into a tough decision on whether to keep the vet or go with the upstart kid, but Luongo came out and made the decision easy for them by saying he'd like to play closer to his family. There had been some rumblings about this before, though nothing concrete, we know that his Florida wife had moved back home with their daughter so there were questions as to whether Luongo was content or not being away from family.

Unlike say Pronger though, Lu kept quite until the team had a convenient out.

I guess that tells you how good Schneider is.

an other loss for the caps tonight...some changes should happen there soon, maybe Luongo might be a good fit to help the young goalie Holtby.

what do you ask if you are Gillis ?

Objectively... if you're Vancouver, are you going to trade your #1 goalie, when your backup has a sub .900 sv% and 3+ gaa?

If that backup is Cory Schneider... why not?

What is it exactly that Luongo has done to get you so bent out of shape. The only reason we might get more for Schneider is we can trade him anywhere whereas Luongo can pick & choose his final destination

Because that backup (who happens to be named Cory Schneider) is totally inexperienced in a #1 role, has a sub .900 sv% and 3+ gaa this year.

Nope...and i apologise. I just find it funny that every goal given up by a Leafs goalie gets a post from you.

Luongo is playing great, i don't see Van moving him....at all this season.

As a Leafs fan, it's just nice to see the kids play and win a few.
