Which D-prospect would you give for Jaden Schwartz?

14th overall pick in the 2010 draft...the Blues forwards overflow-eth. I'd be curious to see if any team heavy in D prospects would exchange one of them for this forward prospect (chosen 2 spots ahead of Tarasenko).

Only interested in D-men or D-prospects. So let 'er rip.

He reminds me a lot of Sam Gagner. They are about the same size also.

He could be a 2C on a team that needs talent in their top 6. Van would probably be interested. Or Anaheim for that matter.

Schwartz is faster than Gagner and, I believe, will be a better scorer at the NHL level. I think he might have 1st line potential, but time will tell.

We have a young defense and Cole has shown he can play, no need to move our young player that has the potential to replace McDonald's playmaking ability when he leaves.

They are both first pass players that like to dump the puck. Schwartz is faster but Gagner has better vision imo.

If Gagner had better linemates earlier in his career, and if his development wasn't rushed he would have been a great player.

Lowe was an idiot.

I hope Schwartz does end up with a better career.

I'd be fine with swapping any D prospect from the Pens for him.

Not worth any of our better ones IMO. You use those and package a first for a significant player; not Schwartz. You want someone more proven with experience.

From an outside point of view.
Maybe Gormley for Schwartz would make sense?

EDIT: I might have overrated Schwartz.

If so than nevermind.....

Schwartz for Gormley has been discussed quite a lot, the general feeling is that the value is there, but he isn't what the Coyotes would be looking for.

Gormley for Schwartz + Desgostini?

Seems like a fair deal that suits both teams' needs.

Ducks lack Center depth. Haven't had anyone really step up yet and claim the spot...

Ducks have two very highly regarded defensive prospects in the system(Vatanen/Lindholm) both NHL ready or damn near close. Also Sbisa whos still very young could probably be moved at the right price.

Schwartz is very intriguing.

I would move Jon Merrill. I would also move an NHL dman and a lesser D prospect (Gelinas, Urbom, etc.)
