With the Blues having an internal salary cap, I doubt the Blues will be looking to trade any of their youth anytime soon. The Blues don't need to make any moves. The only thing the Blues need to worry about is signing their FA's and UFA's to long term deals.

I do not claim to know that much about Schwartz, so this is not me questioning his value, but what are Pesn fans seeing here? Someone to translate to winger well? Because while we may not have any C prospects that good, when do you expect us to need any? We currently have 4 centermen all about the best among their peers plus Jeffrey who may still get it together and Adams for dire situations. Excluding Adams, the oldest of them is all of 26 years old.

After seeing it a couple of times in this thread, so far Schwartz has been a winger in the NHL (and since he went pro) and looks like he'd fit there best long term because of his size and speed. Big centers are pretty much the way to go in the league now, and he's never going to match up well against one if they can keep up with him. So for what it's worth consider him a LW prospect more than a center.

Okay, thank you, that explains it a little. Both why STL would consider moving him and why PIT would consider making a move for him.
