If we get a d-man, I want a guy that can move the puck through the zone. Phaneuf doesn't really strike me as that guy. I'm not really crazy about him plus I think Toronto would overvalue him than what he's really worth.

Why would it be Philly? Because he lays a big hit every so often, he's a perfect match? Makes no sense.

I'd rather see him get whooped on by Hartnell some more. If we are going after a high paid, under-achieving D-man, I'd look into Bouwmeester. Probably could be had for less and we'd still get to see the Hartnell-Phaneuf rivalry.

Funny, I was just saying the other day how much I hate Phaneuf as a captain, hockey player and human being. I despise him. All that for $6.5m a season. Sure he's a decent hockey player, but I would never want him on the Flyers for any price.

He's waayy overrated. The best seasons he had in Cgy were when either he wasn't lining up against the other teams top forwards, or he was paired with Hamrlik who was able to cover up a lot of his mistakes. PJ Stock had it right this past weekend when he questioned his hockey IQ...he wouldn't be an improvement for us.
