All those guys are better than Kessel because they provide similar offense with much better 2 way games. A guy like Eriksen is a top 5 defensive winger in the league imo. At least among top six guys.

Kessel is the type of player you acquire when you've got all the other pieces in place. He should be a good teams 3rd best forward based on overall play.

The team has clearly been built the wrong way. Strip it down. Start again.

Evident that we are currently scoring by committee and guys like JVR, Frattin, Mac all have first line wing potential and certainly have more of an edge and willingness to actually work hard to score goals.

I am assuming Kessel waives his NTC right ? Or NMC if you do it after July 1st.

I have to assume if the leafs dump Kessel they would have to be in full rebuild mode so they want prospects and picks.

I would offer Jensen, Sauve, Lack, and our First in 2013.

Kesler will never be traded, and even if he was, it would never be to Toronto. He has an NTC and he would waive it to go to Detroit or Philly . Maybe Pittsburg.

That'd be awesome. Stars seem to get traded for one another when circumstances fit both teams, but generally it's stars for pieces, and I wouldn't do Kessel for pieces.
