Khokhlachev isn't going anywhere. Switch him with Knight and I do this trade.

When Glencross was discussing his contract with Feaster and King he wanted a sub clause.

"don't ever ask me to waive my NTC"

Khokhlachev and Caron would be great fits on the Flames especially if Ferland doesn't become an NHL'er.

However, I've said this before in a previous Cal/Bos thread. Glencross arguably is the most valuable player on the Flames (even over Iginla and Kipper). He just might have the best contract in the NHL for what he provides. He loves Calgary and would not waive to go any where (maybe Edmonton). He took a massive discount to sign here. He's not going anywhere.

Fair proposal but this isn't happening.

This trade won't happen. Value is OK but the Flames don't need Subban and Caron is a bit of a throw in. Starts with a 1st and Khokhlachev.

Do you even know who Karri Ramo is?

Check the guys stats because unlike Subban this guy is putting up solid numbers in the KHL playing against men. Also unlike Subban Ramo is 26 making him much more developed and a good candidate for when Kipper is gone.

Its likely Ramo will come over as his contract is up in the KHL. I think Feaster has the full intention of having Ramo here next season.

Probably a part of the reason Karlsson was moved.

Trade makes no sense for Boston, and it seems like no sense for Calgary.

Boston has 2 potential needs. A better 3rd line Wing, and maybe a depth defenseman.

Boston is not going to give up a Goalie they just drafted an think can be truly elite, plus a top offensive prospect, plus a decent 3rd line wing just to pick up a better 3rd line wing

And please don't take this as me downgrading Glencross. He is a fine winger, but he would be a 3rd line winger in Boston, and that is an ABSURD price to pay for that luxury

And i can totally understand why Calgary has no interest in making this deal as well

I doubt it has much to do with that, I think it has more to do with why both Karlsson and Irving were on waivers at the same time as both are just stop gaps.

I'd pass from Calgarys point of view. Don't get me wrong, Subban is a solid goaltender prospect, but we've got a few goalies in the system that I am comfortable with as it stands, so I'd rather go after a prospect that would really fit Calgarys needs. A big winger with top 6 potential, or a strong stay at home defenseman.

No chance, Boston easily declines. Glen cross is a 3rd line winger, nothing more. Too high of a price

Who does he bump out from Boston's top-6 wingers?

Lucic
Horton
Marchand
Seguin

?

Never said he would be you said Glencross was only a 3rd liner nothing more he is certainly more just doesn't fit in with boston, now if you had said he would be a 3rd liner on Boston then sure but you specifically said he wasn't anything more. He also would probably give Horton a run for his money but he finds alot of his success in front of the net I don't know if he would have the same success on Boston.

I would want more for Glencross than Iginla since he's the better all around player. Clearly you don't watch the Flames much. Glencross plays a similar game to Bergeron. Just more grit and a better shot in his game.

Agreed, also agree that Edmonton is probably the only place he might consider waiving to. His ranch is pretty important to him and it's between Calgary and Edmonton.

I don't see 4 wingers better than Glencross in your line up. Lucic is the only one I see who is better. You might be able to make a case for Marchand, but I'd disagree. No one else is even close to as good.

Horton and Marchand. Is Seguin locked in at wing? Glencross was on pace for 32 goals last year before he got hurt and he's had 3 in 4 games so far this year. I'm pretty sure people in the EC don't realize how good he is now. Easily our best player.

I'm first and foremost a habs fan, do you think I know who he is?

As for the others. I'm full aware of who all of them are, and guess what, they're nothing to write home about. They are indeed decent. Might turn out, but I'd like my chances better with Subban...
