Yep. I think he's the best choice for the top line. He's not out of place there and more importantly, he keeps things simple and it'll only help that line be better defensively (apologies to Mr. Vanek, but Ott is a defensive upgrade to be sure), which could get them more ice time if Ruff chooses.

The reason I assumed Foligno practiced there yesterday is that Ruff was pretty sure Vanek would be playing, so they threw Foligno there as a warm body. It appears that either wasn't the case, or it was the case but Vanek isn't playing. Ott is a much better choice to me, the only drawback being that if he's not on the 3rd line he can't take draws for Hecht, but he's hardly doing that anyhow .

Brennan and Scott are both dressed for warmups, so we could see 7 D today if Scott's scratched for Brennan.

Marcus Johansson is a healthy scratch for the Caps.

I just got a brilliant idea - Why don't we put Scott in goal? I bet he just never got the chance to shine there.

You're right. Might as well keep him on the wing as well. He can get in and out of pads real quick right ?

Yup, LR will play the guy we signed 30 seconds before the season starts more than guys we have locked up for years.

ps, got nothing against Jochen, and he's playing ok, but he's a throwback to our soft, losing culture that should only be relied upon in a pinch. Use him as a defensive forward for 6-8 minutes, and on the pk.

Also, Brennan played his nads off in the A proving he deserves a shot, but we'll watch Myers struggle again. I'm not saying the guy is better, but he deserves a chance to fill in for a guy who's clearly struggling. Especially after back-to-back losses.

Gerbe getting a chance. Gerbe has chemistry with Coho. I work at a rink and they skated together During lockout they have pretty good chemistry believe it or not. Not shocked by this at all. Watch for a rush in which gerbs pulls up at the half boards hits coho coming on the damns inside shoulder. They practiced it 10 times.

These lines have the potential to be disastrous.
I'd play Grigorenko at wing just to give him the minutes.

Instead, he's on the third line again and will get his typical 8:00 TOI.

Disgusting lines.

This is the first time I have ever said this, and I think Lindy is a good coach. Oh My God he needs to go. NOW. Those lines are absolutely atrocious. Lets bury our ultra skilled 18yo rookie on the third line against a team with 0 wins, when we have literally nothing to lose. Im not watching this game

I thought Gerbe's looked good. I'm not upset by this and I like that Foligno is demoted for Ott. Wish Grigorenko were on that 2nd line though.

I love Gerbe but where's all this thought of him being an offensive player coming from? Never understood it.

He better be taking defensive zone faceoffs. Ennis is putrid on the dot.

Not to mention it's the last look you'll get at him. With TV out, it gives every reason in the world to give him a better look. Oh well, looks like he'll be sent back.

Mikhail Grigorenko, you've just been #lukeadamed. Bye bye now.

Well its obvious, Gerbe is our offensive superstar and Grigs is our fantastic checker. Go Lindy Go!
