JT is for me the obvious choice today. HM to boyes and cizikas, but JT was above them in my opinion

JT was a beast, we would have been killed without Nabby, and giving a vote to Strait, the kid looks like a waiver gem.

Lots of other names though, big win. Huge.

so many players could be getting votes, but I found MacDonald and Nielsen were particularly impressive tonight. Most people probably didnt notice their defensive efforts but these two guys kept us alive during these penalty kills. Andrew MacDonald had 5 blocked shots tonight and a couple massive ones in OT.

Tavares and Cizikas. JT dominant as always, and Cizikas saved a goal with a great defensive play.

JT and Cizikas... We don't have a chance to win that game in OT without Cizikas's defensive play. He worked his tail off all game long and was one of the most noticeable Islanders.

Voted JT but he is still not quite himself from last year. The new improved shot is paying off now.
HM to newest Islander Brian Strait....his stable play makes Streit a better player, he's a force multiplier.

Obviously JT is the blowaway winner of this but my second choice was other and I'm surprised he wasn't there. Even the announcers were giving him praises...

Ullstrom was a force to be reckoned with. He was making great decisions with the puck and his maturity and calmness really come through and make that line look nothing but a professional strong third line. He should have been on this list and I'm quite surprised he was not. Guess you can't list the whole roster but he deserved to be mentioned.

HM to Grabby's all around play. Nielsen was good on the PK per usual.

Nabokov was brilliant tonight, he put on a hell of a show at the Rock.

And I swear if Grabner scored on every breakaway he would have 80 goals a year.

Crazy, exciting game. Ready for round 3 Sunday! Hopefully Capuano will have a better day.

Tavares the clear cut winner tonight.

I don't get the votes for Nabokov tonight. He made some dandies, but let in too many to be the player of the game.

Agreed I thought Casey played a hell of a game and deserves a nod over Nabby.

JT is scoring points at a slightly higher pace than in Switzerland 1.57 to 1.5. He's on pace to score 75 points in 48 games. I don't expect him to keep up this pace, but it sure is nice to see. He's back in the top 10 in scoring again, he's 7th (finished 8th last year). After a slow start (0-2-2 in first 2 games), JT has been in beast mode 5gp 4g 5a 9pts, almost 2 points a game !
