Perron could have easily shot that. low percentage, but Backs couldn't move until he knew where Perron's stick was pushing the puck. He was unmolested, for the love of god, after shedding two guys on his way around the net.

He overplayed the shot, he was basically too far out to make a decent post to post slide. Instead of trying to go post to post, he kind of just fell over anyway.

You just proved it wasn't really Backs fault.

I'm sick and tired of this announce team.

Not sure how thats pinning it on Backstrom.
I think the biggest blame goes to the player who felt like he was watching others play... Cullen's fault imo.

End of the 2nd, Sharks are killing a 5 minute major.

If you're going to blame Backs for that goal, blame Elliott for Parise's 2nd too.

In both cases the defense was non-existent in front of the net, and the goalies were out-waited. No real fault there.

Oh, don't try and stir it up. Nobody thinks it's just Backstrom's fault. He did flop on that goal and leave it completely open but Gilbert needed to do SOMETHING on that goal.

I think you're confusing Koivu's and Parise's 2nd.

Marleau slacking off, just one goal after 2 periods. Gotta step it up in third.

Good period. Love the effort by Wild, and yeah, Koivu should shoot more often. That was a snipe right there. Cullen showed little to no effort on that 2nd goal though, that was awful. And yeah, Gilbert shouldn't have stopped. All in all, we let them back way too easy.

Also, #hfwild . Be there.

Come on...wild fans if any fans know not all shots are equal. The Wild clearly out chanced them.

I like the fact that Mikko and Zach have found each other. First game it was Heatley-Parise mostly. You remember last year when we didn't have scoring at all? Only possibility to win games was a fluke goal or a couple of them.. and a goalie standing on his head.

The next piece of puzzle is secondary scoring. This game is too high-pressure and tight game for the 2nd line to find much chemistry. They just try to hang in there.

Then get rid of defensive errors..
Goaltending..

Ten games and we're going to see how it's going to be.
