The team quit on Bruce. He was a great coach, but his message wasn't getting across anymore. His time in Washington had run out.

The only way Ted gets the message is when he shows up and the arena is half full or less. Since that will never happen, it will never happen.

coaching makes little difference. 8 is fried, horrible wing depth, the defense is a mess, and the goaltenders cant step up.

just a bad hockey team.

This is what happens when he gets the puck and any space at all.

If only our game focused around getting him the puck and space on his line... nah, too radical.

Lol, I came into this GDT expecting to read good things. I guess I should have known. They actually look like they know what they want to do for once. Still some bad players, but they look a lot better, miles away from two games ago.

Have you ever watched Ovechkin before? People seem to have this belief that Ovechkin was successful every single rush before, he wasn't he did it a lot, that's all.

You won't get an honest answer here. Look at all the excuse makers for the players.

No moreso than Terry Murray.

The problem is our Darryl Sutter left and we replaced him with John MacLean.

Freight training LD off LW? Not trying to shoot. Looked different.

chimmer and ward remain the only wingers on the roster capable of cycling. doesnt hurt that they have some grit too. id like to see 1 of them each with backstrom/ribs, some other guy on the other wing, and then ovi down on the 3rd line with whoever else he can ruin.

The issue is goaltending, here me out.

A quality goalie on top of his game gives the rest of team confidence to play their style without having to worry about protecting/sheltering goals against. The Caps at their beat play an uptempo style, taking chances and generating offense off the rush. But they're not able to play like this because they're worried about giving up a scoring chances against that their goalie wont be able to stop.

Dear GMGM, go out and get a legitimate starter who can instil confidence throughout the lineup and watch the team start dominating the play again.

All but one of our goals has been scored from right by the net. And the other one was a screened shot.

If that's the team McPhee wanted, why is Ward the only guy regularly doing it?

Just because you don't like him doesn't mean he should belong on the third line because he's not producing.

He actually has shown effort this game. He needs to do what he did and shoot though, not wait for an open man to pass.
