Nashville doesn't have a 2nd. It belongs to Montreal from the Kostitsyn deal. Kaboom!

We're officially putting Tomas Vanek, Jason Pominville and Ryan Miller on the block.

Question- Can a team re-sign a player it uses its amnesty buyout on?

Nope.
The NHL rule is that you have to wait one full season before offering a contract to a guy you buy out.

We're getting lots of interest in Jack Johnson. Pick(s) and top prospects, specifically forwards with good size and top-6 upside, get you into the mix.

Ideally we're looking for young NHL-ready forwards and top forward prospects. Keep that in mind when making offers.

Also looking to move these roster players:

RJ Umberger
Derek Dorsett
Jared Boll
James Wisniewski
Fedor Tyutin
Steve Mason

Rentals:
Vinny Prospal -- a nice pick and prospect
Adrian Aucoin -- 3rd, or 4th and mid-level forward prospect
Mark Letestu -- 4th or mid-level forward prospect

TRADE

Henrik Tallinder

Matt D'Agostini

We had too many fowards while lacking defenceman, New-Jersey had too many defenceman while lacking foward, easy trade to make.

Tallinder will bring a good veteran steady presence on the defence. We think he could form a good duo with Pietrangelo on the top pairing. Wish the best to Matt in New-Jersey.

Blockbuster Trades

Trade #1

To :
RW Joel Ward
D Roman Hamrlik
C Marcus Johansson

To :
D Jay Bouwmeester

Trade #2

To :
G - Corey Crawford
C - Phillip Danault
D - Stephen Johns
D - Dillon Fournier

To :
G - Miikka Kiprusoff*
*Calgary retains $2,500,000 of Miikka Kiprusoff's $5,866,666 caphit

With the 1st trade we move constantly underwhelming big money dman Jay Bouwmeester for a vet bottom 6 , Upcoming UFA and most importantly a young centerman who we view as a longterm solution to our top line C spot

Trade #2 we move Kipper who at his age wont have any value to a rebuilding team. Getting a NHL keeper will be helpful for Flames in coming rebuild to lesson the blow. The 3 prospects are the key here as they add depth to system

confirm. MoJo's work ethic has been disgusting since he entered the league. We move cap and add a player who has looked like a new man this season. A move back to the Southeast division should do him good as well.

I don't know if it's allowed.
We didn't allow it in previous games.

IR, CONFIRM OR DENY

Last game was after the new CBA, but IR didn't want to have teams retaining salary yet.

Malhotra, Raymond, Alberts remain on the block for teams looking for depth for their playoff runs. Raymond is in the midst of a comeback year, playing big PK minutes and scoring goals at SUPERSTAR pace.

Word out of Columbus is Jack Johnson may be headed to the Eastern Conference. Final details are being worked out.

There is also talk that Fedor Tyutin may be on the move as well. We have a couple of good offers but haven't been wowed yet. Any deal for Tyutin would have to include a young NHL defenseman.

If you need playoff rentals we're still offering Vinny Prospal, Mark Letestu & Adrian Aucoin. Cheap!

And if anyone needs a goon (Coyotes, you listening?) Jared Boll is available.

should have a couple deals to announce soon. Streit has two very good offers of youngish bottom pairing dman + high prospect + 2nd rounder. If your offer isn't that, step it up.

RE: Salary

We're still moving full cap hits as it says in the rules, but there is no cap floor until the offseason.
