Unsure if I posted this..

Vancouver waives Cam Barker and Michael Leighton with intention of sending them to the AHL/Europe/wherever they so desire.

Trade

To :
D Ben Lovejoy

To :
Flames 7th round pick in 2014

With the trades of Giordano and Bouwmeester the Flames needed a body to fill out the depth on blueline to complete out year

Confirm. After trading 2 picks in this year's draft, it's nice to get one back, even if it is only a 7th. In 2014.

Trade Block

Not a lot of action, some quality player in the mix.

Alfie- Only to a true contender, and for a good return. We feel we should Ray Bourque him and give him a chance to win a Cup
Michalek- Milan+ for a true 1st liner, or Milan for young Top6er+.....basically won't be a futures trade, we want something we can use now and will make our team better in a couple years
Latendresse- top 6 capable winger, looking futures or something now. Would lok to go the 2nd+prospect route, or as part of a bigger deal, but lets talk
Gonchar- Veteran Top 4 D. Looking for a good return, futures or something now

Lundin, Benoit, O'Brien, Davaguins- decent pick/prospect will do, or as a "+" to a bigger deal/pick upgrade

Bishop/Anderson- Would like to move one of the 2. Anyone that needs a #1 Anderson is on the market, but won't go for cheap. Bishop would make a good 1B and we'd like to get a 1st or 2nd/good prospect+

AHL depth- Jessiman and Lawson will go for the first offer of anything decent

Top prospects- none i'm overly shopping (though Silfverberg will be very hard to pry out, probably Zibby as well) but can move one or two for a great piece or two

Others can be discussed as well....only real untouchables are Karlsson and Lehner (and probably Spezza)

As a Malkin, Kunitz and Letang fantasy owner. I feel your pain.

In other news...we've dealt with a rival team, but the trade made sense.

Johnny Boychuk
Chris Bourque

Mason Raymond
Andrew Alberts

We felt that bringing in one more Top 4 blueliner gives us the deepest blueline in the league, full of 20 min + guys. Boychuk will play with Edler, giving Garrison the ability to switch back to his natural left side to play with Tanev in our shutdown pairing.

In Boston, we don't consider Vancouver are rival.

We confirm the trade. It sucks losing Boychuck. He will be missed. After acquiring Joni Pitkanen, and re-signing Andrew Ference, Boychuck became unneeded so to speak. In other words, it was the best situation for Johnny and us. He joins a good team in Vancouver, and we acquire Mason Raymond. Mason is going to be our 3rd line left winger with Chris Kelly and Rich Peverley as line mates. We believe we have the deepest offense in the league. Every line we have is a threat to score. Andrew Alberts is back as a Bruin, he will serve as a much needed extra veteran defenseman. Chris Bourque (Ray's son) is a good AHLer, but we don't believe he has what it takes in the NHL.

Current lineup for Boston:

Milan Lucic- Tyler Seguin- Loui Erikkson
Brad Marchand- Patrice Bergeron- Nathan Horton
Mason Raymond- Chris Kelly- Rich Peverley
Daniel Paillie- Gregory Campbell- Shawn Thornton

Zdeno Chara- Joni Pitkanen
Dennis Seidenberg- Dougie Hamilton
Andrew Ference- Adam McQuaid
Extra: Aaron Johnson- Andrew Alberts

Tuukka Rask
Anton Khudobin

confirm.

Kipper is a workhorse Top-5 goaltender and a consistent performer in net. We shored up what was our biggest weakness and have all the piece in place to return Stanley to Madison.

We might be close to dealing Thomas Vanek, make sure to get your offers in. We're not particularly rebuilding, but we would like some good young players coming back, or in a 1 for 1 swap for a Centre or D-man.

Ryan Miller is still being shopped, he has a partial NTC, so he would need to be going to a decent team. Would be looking for the same assets as Vanek.

We have had one good offer for Jason Pominville. Get your offers in!
