Too early to tell, need an "about even" option

I haven't seen enough of Schultz and the one game I did see he made a couple of huge defensive mistakes but also scored his first NHL goal I think.

Hamilton has looked great but it has been 4 games for these guys, I wouldn't feel right about saying anything other than Hamilton has looked better in the games I have seen.

A Hall/Schultz vs Seguin/Hamilton pollk would explode HF

as for the poll: From the NHL I havent seen much of Hamilton but heard nothing but great things. As for Schultz Ive seen him do very well to. Id say too close/to small of sample size

As for junior/ahl days: Hamilton lit up the CHL and Schultz lit up the AHL, so still too close

Every NHL player > Schultz because Schultz is unproven at the NHL level
but somehow Hamilton is better still?

Anyways, I think it's essentially a tie at this point. I would probably break the tie for Schultz based on the 4 games he has played so far.

They both will be very talented D-men for a long time but I would take Dougie.

Think it has more to do with some Oilers fans being obnoxious with their young players than anything.

Wow, where did that come from? Nobody said anything even remotely like that in this thread.

Schultz will probably be better offensively, while Hamilton wil be better defensively. Hamiltons also 3 years younger so its hard to choose.

Hamilton has probably been Boston's best defenseman so far (Chara's had a bit of a rough start with taking bad penalties). Tough to break a tie based on that.

Schultz definitely looks better so far but Hamilton is younger so its tough to tell. Hamilton probably has a higher ceiling but not by much and I think Schultz has a much better chance of reaching it so I take him.

Schultz hater voting Schultz. Hamilton has impressed me once of the 10 games I've seen him play.
My judgement remains that he's overrated.

You aren't wrong.

Difference is I was expecting a different player when I first started watching Dougie based on the hype. He was made out to be a Niedermayer-Pronger hybrid that would electrify the league by some.

O they're players, that's a relief. I thought this was another "where the Coyotes should be moved to" thread and Schultz was another small town in Canada that I'd never heard of...

Back to the thread,... my vote goes to Dave Schultz' grandson...

Hamilton put up big numbers in juniors. Schultz put up even bigger numbers in the AHL and is starting to carrying it over to the NHL. I'd take Schultz because I feel that Hamilton wont be at the level Schultz is at the same age.
