Was Volchenkov on the ice at the end of the game? He was on the ice for the first two goals against, so I'm just wondering if he kept up his 'perfect' record of being on for every goal scored.
lol I just checked NHL.com, Volch was indeed on the ice for the third goal as well, yikes.
I can't recall if he just came off a long shift or not so that could easily be the reason. But regardless of which side the faceoff was on, Zajac should have been out there. He was winning draws on both sides of the ice handily tonight. Oh well, cant win them all and if we're going to lose at least we got a point out of it.
They need to get their **** together for Boston though, I expect a much better effort all around.
Elias had won 73% of his faceoffs tonight - that's why he took that draw.

Alternatively, Kovy has yet to be on the ice for a goal against this season.
Why? Its overtime, they jobbed us out of the game just like they jobbed the Blue Jackets last night. Greene TOUCHED Cole and he flopped to the ice. Referees need to put their ****ing whistles away in overtime, I'm sick and tired of them determining the winner night after night.
Yeah
that'll work
then the other team will be allowed to take a bad pentaly, and we'll be *****ing about the non-call "let them play" my ass
I started a 'value of' thread on main board. Of course habs fans come in and say he was really exposed tonight blah blah blah and that Gionta plays like he's 10 feet tall

And Zajac was 71% tonight, and 67% in the defensive zone while Patty was only 50% there. I still trusted Elias on that draw, don't get me wrong, but I just would've put TravTrav out there anyway.
Also, I know it's only been 4 games but it's been 4 games where Teddy has yet to impress me. At this point it couldn't hurt to give Butler a shot.
My problem with the refs is inconsistency. If you're going to call a game tight, fine, call the game tight. But then when a Hab slashes Kovalchuk's hand, you call that. It's all about consistency throughout the game for both sides. A lot to ask, I know.
Well like everyone else I swore that cheap ass Cole lived up to his reputation but I went back and watched again and I gotta say Andy indeed deserved a penalty. If it was just his arm like I thought at first glance then yes, it was bs but he actually did the foot sweep from behind and lifted Cole's leg up. That will flip a guy back as he tries to cut in on net. I'm glad for the point in all.
