If the Leafs are way out by the trade deadline, I wouldn't be surprised to see most of their wingers (just about the only position they have depth, and solid depth at.)

With us keeping as much salary as possible. Morrow may not be a top 6 player anymore though, but at worst he'll be a veteran leader for you guys in a cup run. Ryder should be perfectly fine playing with Crosby (shuddering at that thought, to be honest).
Wouldn't be bad.

I was wondering what the heck is up with Glennie? I always liked him. I thought maybe a Tangradi and Glennie swap would work, both could maybe use a change in scenery, but it seems like Glennie struggling a lot more.

Iím somewhat intrigued. I havenít liked Morrow at all in the Dallas games Iíve caught this season though, and if those games were indicative of his current ability I want no part of him. Further, our roster situation would mean that another roster player would have to accompany Tangradi in your proposal, or be lost to waivers.

Iíve liked what Iíve seen from Ryder though, and if Dallas are out of it at the deadline I would be very interested in him. Not sure Iíd give Bleuger + Tangradi + 2nd + 5th though.

so both Morrow and Ryder are FAs at the end of this season. That makes this trade both attractive (Morrow) and unattractive (Ryder). Still I think I'd probably do it. If the Pens acquire a winger, Tangradi is likely the one who has to go (either via the trade or via waivers), and I'd prefer to see him get a shot somewhere else.

Good proposal.

I'd prefer to add 1 top 6 winger and bring in a dman to shore up the defence.

If DAL is moving Ryder and Morrow they will get better deal than that. Tangradi is a bust in the NHL, Blueuger is 4 yrs away and Dallas is not trading two of their player for a player that they have to wait at least 4yrs for.

I would say Hemsky has he is now healthy as the shoulder surgeries have worked. I think he would look very good on the wing with Hemsky.

If the Pens gave up that package for Hemsky I would personally nail Ray Shero to a cross.

Also, why does every trade proposal involving the Pens end up involving one of our top D prospects + for Hemsky?

Why is it always Hemsky?!?

Seriously, if he's so good, why is he always the first mentioned in EVERY trade rumor with the oil? Also, he isn't that good. It's like a used car lot... I've got this beautiful Ford Prius with only 3 wheels! How can you lose!

LOL if you think Hemsky is worth that. Stop. Pittsburgh would have a major riot if Shero acquired Hemsky for anything better than a second rounder. We don't want him and its fairly obvious from our comments on this board and Hockeybuzz. Stop with the same recycled names to Pittsburgh for a pretty hefty return.

Hemsky, PRV, Omark ... its the same recycled names with them for a higher return.

Niskanen isn't going anywhere, he has been our best D after Letang since last year

Pittsburgh always needs two top wingers. I hope it doesn't happen, I have Pascal Dupuis on my fantasy team.

Nobody is going to start dumping players 6 games into a season. For teams that are rebuilding, they know that the guys they dont want back next year will hold the most value (in the context of picks/prospects) at the deadline.

unless Niskanen is shipped out in a trade for a package including an equally capable top-4 defenseman, i don't think the Pens should entertain any trade proposal with him in it.

so, anyone who wants Niskanen on their team should really keep that in mind. he's not a spare part like Lovejoy. he's established himself as having value in a top-4 role. he's actually Pittsburgh's 2nd best defenseman right now.
