As the Penguins, I would take that in a split second. But Toronto wouldn't do that. No way. Not for a star like Kessel.

Hmm, perhaps instead of the conditional 2nd, we make it a 1st? That I think would be fair value

As the Penguins, I would still take that in a heartbeat. I just don't think Toronto is willing to part with Kessel. He's the heart and soul of that team. Pittsburgh would absolutely THRIVE with Kessel next to Crosby. I'd give up even more than that.

I think that they would. If you are faced with the possibility of Kessel walking as a UFA at the end of next season, you should ship him off now. In all honesty, Pitts has no problem re-signing Kessel, as who the **** doesn't want to be on a line with Sidney Crosby during their prime years. Kessel on a line with Crosby shatters 40g easily.

Did u honestly just counter that proposal?

Penguins would've took that first one and laughed.

Tangradi is waiver fodder. Despres is alright (#4 guy maybe?), 1st will be late.

I'm not saying the Pens would say no, but they wouldn't take it and laugh, either. Morrow and Bennett fill two very important positions on very nice contracts.

Despres' ceiling is higher than a #4 but who knows where he'll settle in. Too early to tell.

I don't see Kessel getting traded so it's hard for me to get that into a discussion about it.

Yes, I did and no the pens wouldn't.

Dude you have little to no clue about what the hell you're talking about...

Anyways while Phil could help hopefully put some pucks in the net, there are TONS of other players I would rather target than a player like phil kessel.

Talking about Kessel to PIT? Funny. He´s worth more than only prospects.

It would be something like

Sutter + Bennett + Despres + 2nd for Kessel

Shero does that easy.

Don't see why Kessel is being shopped so much, but Pens would offer

Pouliot
Bennett
Dumoulin
1st
2nd

No offense dude, but you have no clue what you're talking about. Kessel is a PPG player on the Pens and one of the best wingers in the league. We would absolutely take him for that proposal.

You're crazy if you think you're getting an elite winger for quantity.

Like Selanne did? Ever notice that the guys who stay in great shape (Selanne, Chelios, Roberts ect) tend to play longer? Want to guess who has won the Flames fitness award for 9 consecutive seasons?

You're assuming Anaheim would trade Perry. My guess is they would only do that if they can't resign him. I'd rather have Perry too, but I wonder how different their goal totals would be in Perry played with Stajan and Backlund and Iginla played with Getzlaf?

That would work. IF Toronto decides to rebuild.
