Dallas has a looooooooooong way to go to get there. No fighting majors, no misconducts, but they've got about a dozen more minors to take to even sniff first.

We're taking a lot of rookie dumb no training camp minors, too.

We haven't had a game yet that we did not give up at least 30, but Columbus can only manage 3 in the first period.

That sums up how bad the Jackets are.

Should've said "times shorthanded". They were 2 off the lead going into this game. Don't care about majors and stuff.

Cody Eakin is so good that we could put Benn back on the wing.

Damn, Benn and Eriksson on the PK are going to generate a ton of SH pressure

I'm hoping to see a Benn/Eakin forward pair on the PK sometime soon. I have a feeling they could be dynamite together.

Will say our PK has looked dangerous all season. Especially Eriksson and Roy.

Honestly I don't really want Benn and Loui doing that much PKing, I'd rather they were fresher for even strength. Use the bottom 6 for that stuff. A little bit is fine, like 30-40 seconds per game.

He swiped wildly behind him with his glove and grabbed the puck out of midair as it was going in.

There has been some crisp passing from the Benn line. They're getting through neutral pretty easily.
