Any pick in particular? Or a mystery box that could end up being a 2013 2nd or a 2016 7th?

The Oilers need a tough hitting forward which Torres is,and Phoenix looks like a team that will be sellers come the trade deadline.

I don't hate this idea but there are rumours that Raffi had some personal problems while he was in Edmonton and I'm not sure if he or the team would want him back here.

As long as the rumored personal issues weren't true, I'd love to get him back too. We need some grit in the bottom six.

Meh, Raffi is a nut but a nut is something we need on the ice. He might look good playing on a line with RNH.

Haha. Five games in and the Coyotes are sellers and the Oilers are buyers?

Anyway, we are stuck paying for Lombardi who will he missing half this season with injury (or there abouts, according to Tippett) and if we are going to acquire a replacement center, we'll need some cash freed up. Torres to Edmonton for a draft pick accomplishes that. Chipchura can hold down that 4th LW spot just fine.

So, I say deal.

They might've been true, but if they were, they aren't now. Guys like Dave Tippett and Shane Doan aren't having any of that.

Shouldn't insurance cover Lombardi?

Speaking of, any interest in something around Perreault+ for Schlemko or Summers? Don't know how much Coyotes value either of those but they seem quite loaded on D.

Lombardi signed the contract with Preds, and included a "no-insurance" clause for some types of injuries, which requires the Team to pay his salary, even if he suffers those types of injuries, rather than insurance kicking in. Haven't heard if this is one of those injuries or not.

Maybe a 5th or 6th, but if we are doing the Yotes a favour by taking his 1.75mil salary I'm not giving too much up. Especially considering he is to miss a dozen games this year and who knows if he'll even be in game shape when his suspension is over.
