Besides tommy heinsohn and jack occasionally, Boston announcers aren't homers. People exaggerate.

Jack Edwards: "The matrix was out of order as Krejci fed it through a time warp!"

Mickey Redmond: (On Lidstrom) "He could steal the food off your fork on the way to your mouth without your knowing the difference."

Pavel Datsyuk: "I trust my eyes to Dr. Rahmani. You should too."

Really enjoyed the LA Kings broadcast tonight. I love how all the smaller market teams break down plays all the time.

The caterwauling the Blackhawks PBP guy does when a play is close reminds me of when I roll over my package in the morning getting out of bed.

Taco Bell is mediocre at best. Taco Del Mar is a bit better. Though, I do agree, the USA has us beat in the fast food department.

As long as we have A&W and Tim Horton's, nothing else is even necessary.

Preds easily have one of the top three announce crews in the league. Very entertaining.

I hate when the commentator will scream "SCORRRRRRREEEEEE!" when their team gets a goal, but the other team gets one and they will just do something like "and he scores." Kinda bugs me. I notice the guy from SJ does that a lot and a couple others that I can't name off the top of my head.

Some commentators are just annoying on voice alone. Some that stick out are Detroit and Washington.

That's ok cuz taco bell sucks.

At least we have Harveys, best burger going. Dennys has been showing up more and more as well.

About the Sharks guys, yes, Drew is ridiculously homer, but Randy usually tries not to give his opinion. When he does, it is usually in the Sharks favor though.

As much as I hate the Kings, their broadcast guys are pretty good.

I woulnd say that, i was actually shocked to see how average the fast food in USA actually is.
Taco Bell is terrible, KFC is un-eatable, pitza/hamburgers are large and with a lot of fillings but pretty bland.

Even waited 2 hours to eat Chicagos most famous pitza that has been in numerous tv-shows and praised to high heavens, only to find out its average at best.
But on bright side there was billion places where you get amazing stakes, pasta and seafood for cheap.

i seriously think the NHL needs to plan the schedule around Razor, that way he can provide color for EVERY game!

Seems like a lot of them are announcers for other sports and do hockey on the side, since they have no clue about the sport. Also lots of homer announcers, I am just guessing it is this way for all teams, I just don't notice it being a Toronto homer myself.
That was a**hat Kevin Sylvester and the day he has nothing to do with Sabres hockey will rank up there with winning a cup...he was thankfully only filling in for RJ who was out sick.

RJ did return Sunday and should be good going forward.

God I HATE Sylvester...

In Buffalo we have a Tim Hortons every 2 miles

I guess it's why people think we're more Canadian than anything else

I like listening to out of towner. I have Center Ice in the middle east so I get to choose.

The nice thing is it gives a different perspective on the Canucks. Generally its positive which is nice to hear instead of the sky is falling attitude that happen with the vancouver announcers.

Im sure its the same for all home vs away announcers.

I notice we don't get many games announced from either team(I assume because they don't have the rights), what happens if they play eachother and it's not a nationally televised game anywhere?

I've always liked the Washington play-by-play guy, don't know his name. "Ovechkin, SCAORES!!". Very distinctive and mood bringing.

John Forslund (play by play, also on a lot of Versus broadcasts) is great, Tripp Tracy can get a little out there at times. He's usually good for tripping over his own words and doing a faceplant about twice a game.

Ehhhh bob miller is good, i could maybe like jim fox if he didnt do the voice thing at the end of every thought

The Altitude TV guy in Colorado is most guilty of the score shout you're talking about.

Radio guys are much worse at this, I've found, from my XM Home Ice. Listened to a bit of the Leafs-Pens on the way home from work the other day, and Grabovski scored. The commentator didn't mention it for a few seconds, said something like "pass in front, and, well, that's what happens when you leave a player wide open like that, etc etc etc, ends up in the back of the net". The score changed on the HUD display of my radio before the guy confirmed a goal went in.

As a Pens fan, I have always watched the opponents feed. It allows me to enjoy the game instead of listening to utter stupidity.
