I really like the Stars announcers. These past few nights I had to watch the Stars feed. They are pretty decent.

*I haven't read through this thread.

Even the main mall us Buffalonians go to has plenty of variety

Then maybe Oignon Saute picks bad malls, I don't know. Point is, you can get good food here.

Back on topic... I find all East announcers amusing, maybe it's because their homerism doesn't bother me.

I was watching the Detroit feed the other day, and noticed how aggressively Tim Hortons has to advertise their doughnuts and coffee in the US. Doughnuts and coffee are flying all over the place in those commercials, and the "buy a coffee and get two doughnuts for 99 cents" deal is insane. The differences in their commercials in the US and their Canadian commercials says a lot.

I also cringe at the name, "Tim Hortons Cafe and Bake Shop." Coming from a culture defined partly by Tim Hortons and double-doubles, it seems strange that there are actually people who haven't a clue and need to be told it's a "cafe and bake shop."

It just doesn't seem right.

To those of you wondering where the Boston Pizza name came from it was opened by a illegal greek immigrant in 1964 who named it that because boston was a recognizable name (bruins, red sox, celtics, cream pies)

Wait wait wait, is that "buy a coffee, and get two donuts for 99 cents," or "get a coffee AND two donuts for 99 cents"?

None back east? There's one here in Kelowna and another down the road in Vernon so it's probably just a matter of time for ya.

And I'd take White Spot Triple O's any day of the week just for the record.

This is my point of view because of youtube clips, but the dumbass that calls the Bruins games, is the biggest homer in all of sports.

The cheap tickets in some American markets are amazing. I would love to live in a place where I could go to a game that inexpensively.

Not that I have a problem with it. I enjoy the goofy little quirks of Canadian broadcasting.
I guess Boston Pizza had a better ring to it than Edmonton Pizza. Started in Edmonton now has restaurants across Canada and I even saw one in Dallas!

Looking him up now.

Oh cmon, a baseball announcer. I don't even watch most Diamondbacks games. Just way too many games in a season. Most times when I watched other teams I was at a sports bar and didn't hear the audio.

They have a very similar deal in Canada right now. It's something like "buy a coffee and get a donut for 49 cents"
Doesn't seem like that great a deal considering donuts without a coffee cost like 70 cents a couple years ago.

I wish we had more cheesy local commercials here in So Cal like those I see for a lot of Eastern Conference teams.
