i guess we should be planning a Stanley Cup parade, then?

there's nothing wrong with being passionate over your favorite sports team. at least we're complaining on a message board and not rioting in the streets or killing people.

And for further reference... look how the Isles scored their goal. A turnover and just getting the puck to the net. It wasn't pretty by ANY means. It was a **** goal but they are up 1-0 playing w/ desperation.

Respectfully, but looking at this way is a mistake because Dupuis, Kunitz and Cooke likely had career years, and 25 of the goals are in Carolina.

Agreed. Even if it is part time, bringing in a guy like Paul Coffey would do wonders for a player like Letang in learning the finer points of running a powerplay. Especially with some of these guys in the pipeline like Morrow or Pouliot. A guy like Coffey would be hugely beneficial to them.

I highly doubt its chemistry...its the same ****ing team minus staal.

We had guys have insane career highs last year, its not the norm for dupuis to score 25. Teams that stay idle and don't try to get better have these results, they get complacent. Our team is bad this year, I don't care what black and gold glasses people try to look through to ignore it.

I just want an effort to get better...which bylsma has shown again and again he doesn't adjust. If we win tonight it will be because of skill alone, not strategy.

Can anyone recall the last game we played a full 60 minutes? Like absolutely stayed desperate for 60 straight minutes?

Ian, it's far from chemistry. There is no passion on the ice. Every team is dealing with chemistry issues. Some teams are playing w/ heart/desire. That's what need to happen.

who's giving up on this team? do you love losing? do you love losing from the same problems for over 3 seasons? do you have to love every little thing about the team to be considered a real fan?

I thought our effort in Philly was pretty good for 60 minutes. I don't think we played well that game systematically or anything but the heart was there.

Every game since then has been inconsistent effort-wise. Even the New York one, Pens took parts of that game off.

I was thinking the same thing. They pass the puck and try to move it so quick that the opposing player is still in place to break up the pass right after he missed the first one. In other words they aren't drawing anyone towards them because they are trying to move it too quickly, not to mention many of the Pens don't seem ready to take the pass.

Perhaps you should consider the consequences of season-ending injuries.

It's not the same team at all. No Staal or Sullivan and a healthy Crosby. Top six is completely different than last year. Soome of the same parts.

If it's not chemistry, then why are players, who normally play well together, not gelling at all? That's a lack of chemistry. It doesn't always just pop back out of nowhere, especially after a long layover, where many of the players haven't been playing together. As I said before, every other team is playing sloppy hockey like this. You should watch some Washington or Toronto games. Those are teams who are close to panic button time.

Besides, this is like 5 games into the season.

Criticism of the team is absolutely, 100% valid...I'm referring to the people are who are jumping over the bridge.

Jeremy Roenick should call this team gutless. Maybe then, they'd start playing like Patrick Marleau.
