I've consulted the CONSOL scouting pigeons and they said they would take care of it during the second intermission. They then rambled on about seed and shiny string or something. I'm not sure.

Not the only one expecting the big players to dial it in today? Need a good solid win.

So is gamecenter going to have this game? Previously NBCSN games were blacked out. Why not this one?

Spotted Matt Martin and Tanner Glass chatting while stretching on other ends of the red line. Wouldn't be surprised if we see a scrap in the early part of the game.

Looks like Despres is going to get another chance to redeem himself. Will be intersting to see how he is used, how much ice time he sees. Pens lost a horse in Niskanen. Engo, Lovejoy, and Despres are not really 20 minute a game d-men.

My guess is Letang gets about 27 minutes a night until Bylsma finds someone able to play top 4 minutes.

Martin plays Tavares very well. Fully expect another 30 minute outing for him.

Oh yeah, no doubt Letang, Orpik and Martin play 28+ minutes, maybe 33+. Especially if the game is tight. If the Pen have a comfortable lead, I could see them giving Despres some more situations.

Ben Ferreiro just scored a point on Michael Del Zotto's goal against the Flyers tonight.

I don't have this confirmed but this is what the pairings appear to be:

Despres-Letang
Orpik-Martin
Engelland-Lovejoy

Forward lines will remain the same, with the likelihood Bylsma gets Craig Adams some shifts alongside Crosby (joke...sorta).

If Despres is in I'm happy but I really don't think Lovejoy deserves to be on the team.

Ben Lovejoy was actually our most dangerous offensive defenseman against Ottawa, sad as that sounds.

Trouble is he was/is a disaster in his own end. But I do feel the need to defend him a little bit. Offensively he's not totally worthless. He's just dumb as hell and makes tons of mental mistakes in the defensive end. He's got quite a bit of talent but no head for the game at all.

Personally I'll always love that Godard said **** it and did that. Sure, BJ probably could have probably held his own, but as a goalie he shouldn't need to engage in fisticuffs.

Because of his badass-ness and his willingness to protect any Penguin regardless of who they were, Godzilla will always be my favourite Pens enforcer.

I highly doubt BGL would have protected Johnson. Just sayin'.
