Brendan Morrow to the NYR

Morrow has been demoted to the 4th line.He has a $4.1 mil cap hit, so the NYR may have to wait until he fits (help me with the cap numbers if you can).

Otherwise, there is a guy downtown designing women's purses that is available.

5th Round Pick, but he'll probably get a 2nd based on his pedigree.

Ask the guys that have seen him play the last 2 seasons... I don't think he's what you want.

Of course, I didn't expect them to try to get Arnott, either.

No thanks. Maybe if Dallas is out of the playoff picture the Rangers could pry away Ryder

Are we trying to corner the market on powerforwards who are well past their prime?

I would've loved him here in Edmonton, but I don't see a fit right now. Not with how the guys that could've been sent to OKC are now playing.

He will probably get a minimal salary, but he will be re-signing to promote the half-assed movie he wanted to make about his life. "Puckhead" or something like that.

The Flames could use some toughness in their top 9.

What are the Stars needs? Would they be willing to take any salary back?

Isles would love him in their top-6 but not sure where he would slot in without shipping some young talent. Maybe something around Okposo/Bailey for Morrow +?

Flames policy dictates they wait until January 16th of 2014, so he can be the minimum age of 35.

Morrow is no longer capable of playing in any team's top 6. If you give him top 6 minutes he's just going to take penalties and get injured.

Ah, dammit.

That prefix had me all excited, something that would suggest a deal was in the works.

Alas....nothing.

If the Ducks are in it at the deadline, Id move for Morrow. He's usually money with Getzlaf and Perry, unless hes really regressed that much.

Arnott failing his physical + Morrow on the 4th line due to a slow start = Morrow to the NYR

How a 5.11 forward replaces a 6.4 power forward is not explained thou

Considering Sather was open to Arnott I could see him rolling the dice with Morrow, but only if the price was right. More likely if Dallas eats some of his salary or the cost is cheap. Ultimately, unlikely, IMO.

He has a NTC that he won't waive for a non-contender. You can wait for the off-season to get him. It's more likely that his career as a Star is done.

I'm not sure there's a correlation between a willingness to sign Arnott and trading for Morrow. Arnott would have cost nothing but cash. Trading for Morrow would mean giving up an asset.

Also, Sather has a history with Arnott.
