Handzus is definitely having quite a comeback so far.

Terrible game by the boys and still a W. Hope we do better next game.

I thought Clowe looked pretty good today, and I've been hard on him all season and last season.

Murray looked awful though. Also I'm guessing everyone's high on Irwin is a bit more down to earth now because he wasn't much better if at all. Braun had some gaffs but overall he was decent. Surprisingly I thought Petrecki looked invisible tonight, which is a good thing for him.

I hope Boyle comes back soon because we cannot run Murray and Irwin unless Boyle carries one of them.

woooooooo!!!! Definitely a close call! Am I the only one who was surprised that Pavs didn't shoot in the shootout the way he usually does? By the way I just logged on here so I've barely looked at the GDT lol.

Marleau no goals regular season game six = playoff choker

It's really nice to see him playing the way he has been

I'll take a heavily medicated, flu-stricken Boyle over Murray right now

Not fair to evaluate Petrecki from that game, he actually wasn't the worst d-man on the ice tonight though, but he did look a little lost (can't blame him).

Nemo has come to play this year apparently. He's been amazing for 6 games straight, and tonight was his best.

Vlasic had the worst game of our D I thought.

Glad to get the W though on a bad night.

Nemo's only allowed 1 goal the last 2 games if you don't count the own goals because he has zero chance on those.

Also lol at Hiller as 3rd star with .889 sv. pct.

On the bright side, Marleau, Couture, and Handzus all had great games and were noticeably engaged out there. Niemi played amazing tonight. Some of his saves were unreal.

He was awesome charting faceoffs against Colorado.

Murray's 21 minutes of ice time sure felt like it was 45 minutes to me.

Staying up late before morning class to watch OT... reminds me of the good old days...

Thoughts:

- My boy Vlasic had a rough night. I guess when you're the only real top 4 defenseman on the ice, the pressure can get to you.

- My other boy Petrecki held his own okay. He'll be gone, and rightly so, when the Big Boys come back, but I don't think he was any more brutal than the rest of the D. Although, he needs to figure out a breakout strategy besides "let me just chuck the puck forwards and hope for the best."

- Niemi, I salute thee.

I thought Irwin played pretty bad tonight too. Saw him fanning on a bunch of stuff, unable to settle/handle the puck, etc. I mean, it's kind of whatever we played really flat tonight and somehow won. I'm not complaining. 6 - 0 and onto the next one!

Definitely missed Boyle tonight though that's for sure.

Couture Gomez chemistry? They looked in sync when they were together.

Niemi actually saved selane's shootout attempt. Caught enough of it to make it go cross bar instead of in...

Petricki and Murray were awful. Clowe was awful until Gomez got thrown onto that line. Gomez/Couture looked great together and Havlat/Handzus looked great. Handzus looked great all game.

You mean 5 games for Nemo because Greiss played the game against the Avs for his first shutout but yeah you're right, Nemo looks great this year he's only given up a few bum goals but I'm glad to see he's on his game. I'm also glad to see Greiss is making us comfortable and confident to have him sub in for Nemo.
