Baby step was getting goals even strength. Next baby step would be coming out in the 2nd with the foot firmly pressed on the gas. Don't regress. After that, ANOTHER baby step would be having a goal scored without "The Line" out there.
Koivu was brilliant, 1+1 and he's doing all the rights things. Parise awesome as usual. Heatley was good, at this rate he'll score in this game.
Cullen wasn't as downright awful as usual, in fact he's been decent in this game. Same for Setoguchi, although he's struggling offensively, he at least tries hard and gets more physical to make up for the lack of goals.
I was impressed by Granlund. That back-pass to Seto was just filthy and you can see that there's more to come. He's still clearly adjusting to the NHL and testing the waters in terms of what he can and what he can't do.
Brodin. Wow. Even though he had a couple of slight mistakes out there, he was poised and immediately made up for them. It's like he's on bullet-time constantly.
Gilbert didn't impress me aside from that goal. He was alright, but not as good as he's been in a couple of games.
Clutterbuck has been his good, old self. Hits and draws penalties, and that's what we need him for. That 3rd line looks very solid.
