I was so close to closing my laptop before Zidlicky's shot.... I knew it wasn't going to go in. I'll gladly take the point but it still hurts not getting the 2nd.

To be fair there really are no better options. That's how deep we are, or thin I'd say.

Whatever if Josefson made it, it would have been a confidence boost. The guy is sensational defensively and made some nice passes. I don't think a shootout loss is worth dwelling on.

But I do think Zubrus should have went before Jo.

First off I gotta say I am more than thrilled that the devils have gotten 8 out of 10 possible points so far, makes loosing Parise seem like no big deal at all!

Secondly I thought Moose looked solid tonight, minus the soft goal at the end of regulation and the winner in the SO

Last what the heck was Pete thinking during the SO, I dont mind the josefson move too much...BUT ZIDLICKY????? Come on now, how do you throw him out there leaving Zu and Gio still on the bench

I said I'd be ecstatic with a point, but damn to give up that inevitable goal late, I was hoping we'd steal that second point.

Ya, I don't think it was either, I'm not even sure he got any of the puck before he took out Travis's legs.

Ok, you're crazy. Josefson has been fine. Probably shouldn't have shot in the shootout, but for his role he is doing very well.

No question about it. Definitely the best hands on the team after Kovy and Elias.

josefson is spectacular defensively, which is what i'm worried about in a bottom six center.

Regardless of miss Josefson has been fantastic soo far this season. May not be putting up the points but he is playing much better. He is solid defensively and looks better then he did last year on offense. Points will come if he keeps this up

Trade for FW already. I've seen enough.

We have 4 legitimate goal scorers when Kovalchuk has a game where he is disinterested.

Top 2 lines
4th line
AHL line

I'm not making excuses, but I would like to see some kind of ruling explanation on that.

I would think Little Gio could have been a lesser of evils when it comes to round 4 of the shootout.

Josefson isn't a bust because he's garbage at the shootout. He's a bust so far because he can't produce in the nhl. His shot placement is laughable

Kovy did look a little lethargic tonight. Very little in the way of backchecking or forechecking intensity.

We are not watching the same player here. Josefson has been stronger on the puck than he was before, he doesn't look out of place at all. I agree his shot could use a lot of work, but he isn't a liability by any means.

I said in the other thread, maybe he picked up some tips from big bro over the years since Brian was always good in them

But really past the top three without Henrique it's pretty much guesswork. I'm shocked I actually guessed the next two shooters right (Clarkson, Josefson). Maybe I would have let Zubrus, or even the kid Matteau go before Zidlicky since it was probably his last game. The fact that Josefson is even the fifth shooter tells you how bad the options are.

Quietly Josefson is -3 on a team that has only given up 6 even strength goals. He's turned the puck over a fair amount in the defensive zone the past 2 or 3 games.

I didn't have a problem with Pete's selections, they were his best options. IMO Zubrus doesn't show anything favorable over Josefson or Zidlicky.

We need a move. Lou needs to get rid of a extra D, get Larsson in, and increase our depth on the O pronto.
